Best way to see Egyot - This experience was phenomenal! It met all our needs and desires! The tour guides were knowledgeable, pleasant and very accommodating! We saw all the sights of Egypt! We recommend this tour to anyone that wants to be pampered and taken care of! The drivers were also wonderful too!

Fun and full 12 days in Egypt - We had a lovely 12 day tour in Egypt organised by Hassan. Starting off in Cairo we explored and even did some extra activities that were easily organised. Gaber and Laila took care of there with lots of knowledge and care. Next we relaxed on for days on a nice Nile cruise boat with exceptional food while Hassan took us to the included Temples and enlightened us with his knowledge about them (and jokes too). For a very affordable price everything was looked after well and we had a lovely time in Egypt seeing many many things. Definitely recommend this tour to others, especially for groups.

Fantastic trip - We had an amazing time in Egypt. Hassan did a great job or organising our itinerary and Ali was a fantastic tour leader, the best we have ever had. He was very knowledgeable and great at solving any issues that popped up. It was really nice having everything organised and drivers to pick you up and drop you off.

Egypt with Hassan - I definitely recommend it, our entire stay was very well planned, in a short time it was possible to see a lot of places, we got good advice, we always had to ask for help, no stress about transport, food. At the place of attraction we were always one of the first thanks to our wonderful guide Hassan (you have to ask for him) thanks to him you can learn the history of these beautiful places but also learn many things about real life in Egypt. The whole cruise and trip were 10 out of 10! We came back rested, happy and full of energy for the next months.

Hurghada resort was fantastic - We had a great time in Egypt and would definitely recommend it to others. For us as first-timers, it was comforting to know that there was always someone to greet and assist us. Ensuring an upgrading to five-star hotels in Cairo and Hurghada was a fantastic touch from the organization. Hurghada Resort was fantastic. Our interactions with each of the tour guides were genuinely enjoyable.We loved the extra activities balloon, nubian hamlet, Abu Simbel, and safari. Without an experienced guide like ours, the sites of upper Egypt are probably incomprehensible. We had a fantastic trip that was really reasonably priced.

Wonderful experience! - Fantastic team! The communication with Hassan was perfect. We spent three incredible days with our guide Shaban and he was super nice. He knew everything about the Egyptian history. I totally recommend it.

Awesome Egyptian History Tour! - Overall, we had a decent experience. However, it should be noted that a great deal of credit goes to the guides and drivers who enhanced our travel experience, including the organizers. To the guides Ismail and Ahmed, thank you for your punctuality, your organizational skills and for passing on your passion for Egyptian heritage and your wealth of knowledge. It was efficient and optimal. Special thanks to Ahmed for taking care of our patients and for his humor. Keep smiling (5/5) as you embody the spirits of the pharaohs. Your explanations were clear. Good luck with your phd if that's the case. For the drivers: Many thanks for your punctuality. Also, a special thanks to Mohammed for always keeping up his great energy. For the hotel: 3/5. Rooms not clean, lacked water. Stagnant water. Food: 4/5. For the cruise: 3/5. Lacked entertainment, despite the shows. The food was good and varied: 4/5 Rooms: 4/5 One aspect that could be improved is knowing in advance about optional excursions. It was a bit last-minute and we had little information and little time to decide whether or not to do them. Especially as these were considerable additional costs. Aussie in Egypt - We thoroughly enjoyed our 12-day tour with Great Egypt Travel in November December 2024. Our guides, Laila the storyteller, Dr Gaber the archaeologist and Hassan the humorist, were all most professional and informative as well as being good company. They were flexible when needed and dealt with minor issues that arose very promptly and efficiently. Our accommodation and transport were always clean and reliable. The Nile River Cruise was most enjoyable. The experience I liked most was hot air ballooning at Luxor. The historical sites were all fabulous but often crowded. It was great to have a few days to relax at Haggadah to finish off. We would recommend this tour as a great way to explore Egypt at a reasonable price with minimum hassle.

Wonderful Adventures in Egypt - I had a wonderful trip. I am a female from the US. I felt quite safe. Not only was I able to see the pyramids, Sphinx, and various temples but those experiences were greatly enhanced by our tour guides. Dr. Gaber Omar, an Egyptologist and Archeologist, and his Assistant Archeologist, Tamer Radwan were able to read the hieroglyphics, explain the culture, and religious beliefs of the ancient Egyptians. Their part of the tour focused on Lower Egypt. Both have some of their archeological discoveries in museums. Impressive! Our other tour guide, Hassan Hosny, focused on Upper Egypt. He, too, was knowledgeable about the sites and ensured that we saw all of the important aspects of each site and gave us free time to explore on our own. Our driver, Mohamed Refaey, always picked us up on time and kept us in good spirits with his sense of humor. Some of the highlights of the tour included a balloon ride in Luxor, riding ATVs in the Western Desert, seeing the sites where Tamer Radwan made his archeological discoveries (one of which involved solving an ancient murder mystery), and getting a library card from Library of Alexandria. I would highly recommend Great Egypt Travel, which I found via Viator. This tour operator truly caters to your siteseeing desires. While I have shared some photos below, they cannot fully capture the wonders of Egypt. You will have to experience the adventure for yourself. I encourage you to come to Egypt.

Rushed tours and hidden expenses - Throughout this entire tour there was a distinct and frustrating lack of communication, with us not knowing what we were doing or who we would be with on almost a daily basis. Because of this we found ourselves paying to fill days of ‘free time’ which we believed to be included from the advertisement. In Cairo/ Giza we were very fortunate to have a wonderful tour guide called Laila who was passionate, informative and who went the extra mile to give us the best experience possible. I cannot reccomend her enough and she truly made the experience for us! However, the hotel we stayed in fell very short of the 4 star rating. We had no hot water for the first day despite multiple people coming to the room and assuring us they had fixed it while we were out, only for us to find no difference. Eventually they agreed to change us rooms however we then had to change again when the bathroom door of our new room was also broken and refused to open. We finally had a new room with functioning doors and hot water but no pyramid view (ultimately unimportant) however again not what was advertised or paid for. The staffs attitude ranged from uncaring to arrogance and even borderline bullying behaviour to all guests not just ourselves and while this was not everyone, courtesy was by far the exception than the rule. On our Nile Cruise, the reason for booking this trip, our experience was of bitter diappointment. While the ship itself was clean, kindly staffed and very accomodating . The entire experience was overshadowed by a guide whose only care was making some extra cash and doing the bare minimum. At every one of the magnificent temples we visited we were rushed around with no explanations and very little time to appreciate or explore where we were. Any information that was given was vague and very often simply wrong, while any questions were dismissed or answered in direct contradiction to prior knowledge and what other guides were saying around ourselves. Our days consisted of crammed mornings visiting up to 4 sites before lunch and empty afternoon, which could be filled for a fee of course! One thing our guide did not mind rushing was the constant sales pitches and trips to ‘experiences’ that were nothing more than scams to get you to pay more money. All the while we were repeatedly reminded that ‘the guides tips are not included’ and when that time came rather than approaching it courteously instead it was a knock at the door one evening and an outstretched hand ‘you have something for me!’ On our way return trip we had a night in Luxor at a 5 star hotel, while looking very enticing on paper the reality was an expensive and pointless add on as we arrived late in the evening, left early in the morning on the next leg of our journey and felt the whole experience was wasted and just an excuse to up the overall price. And for the cherry on top of an Egyptian experience, a resort full of screaming children, booming music and low quality very non Egyptian food. If you wish to experience the sites and history of Egypt this tour is not for you.
