Egyptian Museum highlights tour - Perfect half day tour with Mohamed Gomaa and our driver Omar to the The Egyptian Museum. Mohamed was very knowledgeable! Pick up was very timely, they arrived about 10 minutes before scheduled time and notified us, though did not rush us (although we were ready). Once arriving at the museum, picking up tickets was quick and easy and we were lead right in. The museum opens at 9 am and is very busy, I cannot imagine trying to navigate it without a guide. For the first 2-2.5 hours we toured the museum with him, touching on all the highlight exhibits. Afterwards we had about 1 hour to explore on our own and revisit anything we had interest in. Highly recommend!

Excellent Tour - Ahmed Salah was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and one of the best tour guides we’ve had. It’s our first visit to Egypt and Ahmed made the Egyptian Museum tour and our visit very memorable. We highly recommend Ahmed!

A very informative and excellent tour - Our Guide Zizou arrived prompt at our hotel notifying us off his arrival. We were given a good background, informative explanation of the different kingdoms and dynasties, which was then followed by a demonstration of artifacts. But the highlight of the tour was the visit to Tutankhamuns room with its fabulous exhibition

Awesome museum tour - Ahmed gave us a 2,5h tour through the museum with his phenomenal knowledge about the Egyptian history and very interesting insights in the ancient culture. He is a very friendly, competent and obliging guide. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Egyptian museum tour - Our tour guide Zizou did an exceptional job. His knowledge of Egyptology was beyond impressive. The entire tour went very smoothly. I would highly recommend his services to anyone. Our driver Omar was equally impressive in navigating Cairo traffic. All-in-all, an exceptional experience and a wonderful day.

Know the history through what has been saved over the years - It is a huge museum. It is ideal to take your ticket with a guided tour because this way they explain the areas and highlight those aspects that you might not be able to assess on your own. Above all, it is good to be able to trace the history and the relationship of the events with the objects that can be seen.

Check the opening yimes - I booked a tour several weeks in advance, to spend 4 hours in the museum for family of six with private guide from 8-12. The day before the activity they sent me a message to start at 9, because the museum opens at 9. Unfortunately we were in white desert and didn’t get it… so at 8 we were waiting for the guide… he arrived on time, and offered extra activity before the museum for extra 60 USD. We went on boating on the Nile, which we have done before for 20 USD….so it seemed a kind of overcharging. We couldn’t change the time because of our airplane departure.Then we spent one and a half hour in the museum with great explanation of the guide and had free time for photos. The one and half hour was fantastic, but we felt disappointed. They shouldn’t let the boooking from 8, if the museum opens at 9. Also the overcharged boating made us not to enjoy the trip.
