Great Guided Tour of Cairo with Ayman - Ayman is a warm, knowledgeable, and attentive guide who helped us discover Cairo in an authentic and engaging way. He adapted to our pace, especially with our 3-year-old son, and took us to a delicious local restaurant where we shared a lovely, friendly moment. Always willing to help, he negotiated for us at the souk and even assisted us in organizing our visit for the next day with another agency. He even offered our child a little camel soft toy as a souvenir. A wonderful encounter that I truly hope you get to experience too!

Egypt: between wonders and tips a bit 'harassing... - The overall experience was mostly positive, although some aspects merit attention. Firstly, we have seen a strong and persistent pressure to tip, almost a daily and burdensome imposition on every service received, from the coachman to the taxi driver to the hotel staff. Secondly, a certain amount of disorganisation characterised the journey: from the impossibility of having lunch in a restaurant, forcing us to eat on the sidewalk in front of a hotel, to the half-day of inactivity due to a five-hour wait for the airport transfer. A further negative note concerns the mandatory afternoon stops at specific shops (spices, alabaster, perfumes, papyrus, etc.) where they probably take a commission. Despite our repeated request to replace the visit to the perfume shop, for us devoid of interest, with that to the Old Egyptian Museum, our proposal was rejected with insubstantial explanations. Finally, we found that it was not clearly stated that drinks, including water, were not included with meals. The second guide did not speak Italian well and there were often times when we had to strive to understand. Among other things, with the latter visits were often hasty and unfulfilling. Among other things, the site of the "Colossi of Memnon" has been attributed to Memnon the identity of "Agamemnon" of the Iliad, a completely unfounded assumption... Further room for improvement concerns transparency and security of the booking. A more formal purchasing process by Memphis, for example through a contract in the name of a company or a detailed travel guide, would have given the service greater reliability and professionalism. The current management via voice messages on Whatsapp, although fortunately authentic, raises some concerns. Enjoy the bottles of water offered during the day and the cuisine on the cruise. The beauty of Egyptian heritage is not debatable, breathtaking.
