Terrific day. - Good morning. Dominique, my wife, Christine, my sister-in-law, and Stéphane, took a day trip from Hurghada to the Sunrise Garden Beach hotel in Cairo and used the services of Akram. This Tuesday March 19 was a very long day (from 1:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.) but we knew that... Everything was frankly perfect: organization, respect of schedules, 2 courteous and competent drivers, a comfortable vehicle, a very nice little French-speaking group, top-notch visits...and a guide Ismail who is as fascinating as he is passionate! And all this for very good value for money! Well done and thank you to Hurghada Online Tours!

Memories of a lifetime trip to Cairo - We had a wonderful trip from Hurghada to Cairo & Giza. Right from the start we were picked up at our scheduled time from our hotel. There were two drivers who made us feel very welcomed, safe and comfortable on our journey. We travelled in an air conditioned van with 5 other people. The group is small which gives a more personalised experience. The drive was pleasant early in the morning and we slept until the rest stops for use of the toilet and can buy food and drink. Water and snacks were included on our vehicle journey also. Once in Cairo we first stopped at the Egyptian Museum of antiquities all tickets included. We met our lovely welcoming tour guide who was very knowledgeable and spoke many languages. Our tour guide also gave us useful tips on how to avoid the tourist scams and hustlers. He also best advised us on where to shop for souvenirs at a reasonable price, if you wanted to and no pressure to buy or do any other activity if you didn’t want to. He was unlike any other tourist guide made our trip run very efficiently and smoothly the extra knowledge and advice of Egyptian culture in the city of Cairo this made our trip so much more enjoyable. We stopped for perfume shop for 30 minutes you could try purfume and have tea or coffee but you are not obligated to buy anything. Afterwards we went for our included lunch at a buffet restaurant which was very good. Drinks are extra charge. Then we went to visit the pyramids of Giza and the Sphynx. Which is included ticket admission. If you want to as extra activity your guide will organise a camel ride Our experience I would 100% recommend! This was absolutely fantastic the men take very good panoramic pictures. Also horse and carnage is extra option. This is paid in cash Egyptian, 500 aprox. ( March 2024) We returned in good time. It’s a long day as expected from Hurghada from 2am to 10pm we would recommend to bring a neck pillow for sleeping and your own snacks and water. I would 100% recommend this tour experience.

Great day! History, mystery and fun - Really great day out, the team were professional, knowledgeable and fun, and the others in the group added even more good company. A really excellent itinerary and experience, with all the hassle taken out and a lot of positives added in. Highly recommended!

Truly unique! - OK here goes. There’s so many facets to the experience we booked that it makes sense to start at the beginning. It’s an early morning start, like early early. Pick up from Crystal Bay was 1am, and credit where it’s due, the mini-van arrived pretty much on schedule and one of the drivers came into the lobby to collect us. Our drivers didn’t speak a lot of English, so don’t expect a lot of information to be forthcoming before reaching Cairo! Pickups at other hotels in Hurghada took another 45 minutes or so before heading north out of town towards Cairo. If you, like ourselves are experiencing Egypt for the first time, be prepared for a bit of a culture shock on the roads. There are no rules other than get from A to B. Speed limits, lane discipline, driver etiquette… nah forget it, it’s every car, van, bus lorry, motor-cyclist for themselves. Honking the horn and flashing lights to advise drivers in front to get the hell out of the way is something you’ll need to get comfortable with real quick. There are several stops on the way for comfort breaks, tolls and police check some of which may seem a bit shady and uncomfortable, and do seem to add a lot of time to the journey but must be necessary. Take advantage of the comfort breaks and remember cash is king. 10egp seems to be the norm for use of the rest rooms which by British standards are immaculately clean. Coffee is also advisable in the early hours unless you’re able to sleep while hurtling along at speeds on roads that are less than perfect. You’ll know when you’re in Cairo, as the traffic turns into utter bedlam. It’s nuts!!! 8,10,12 lanes of traffic converging onto 2 at best once you hit the old town at around 9.30am. Motorcycles, cycles, pedestrians, tuk tuks all become potential adversaries and targets in the utter chaos. Our first stop was the Egyptian Musuem where we met our guide for the day. An hour or so inside the museum taking on the major artefacts and displays with our guide telling the story of each and building a picture along the way. Back into the minivan for a short trip to the banks of the Nile for a boat trip that wasn’t on our specific inventory but was for some of our fellow travellers. It’s was offered to us for for €10 per person which seemed pretty reasonable for a 25minute round trip. Following the boat trip back onto the minivan again for the short trip to Giza. Traffic is still busy at around midday but our drivers appeared to be experts and finding and indeed in some cases creating gaps in the bumper to bumper and door to door chaos! Arriving in Giza, it’s startling to see how quickly the pyramids appear over the top of the urban landscape. A visit to a local business selling glassware and perfume essences is followed by an all you can eat lunch at a local restaurant which was clean and welcoming. The cost of food is included but drinks are not so have a few euros/dollars handy! Also take the opportunity to use the rest room here as it’s the last chance before the pyramids. They pyramids themselves and the sphinx are wondrous and our guide was again top notch with information and photography skills and tips. Last stop is at a local art store for a demonstration of how papyrus is made and used with another opportunity to spend your $$$. We dropped our guide off around 4pm after a day which is absolutely non-stop and puts any effects of sleep deprivation on the back burner. Leaving Cairo is the reverse experience of entering Cairo… chaos, mayhem then nothing! The journey back is once more peppered with rest stops, tolls and security checks but maybe not to the extent of the outward journey. Take advantage of these breaks to eat as you won’t return to resort until after 9pm! To summarise the day on a sentence is not to do it justice. It’s equal parts humbling, exciting, educational and to some extents utterly terrifying!!! Tips to enjoy the day to the max? 1. Have plenty off small denominations of cash in EGP, Euro and USD on hand. 2. Trust your drivers and listen to your guide. 3. Immerse yourself 100% in the experience. 4. You’ll spend 12 hours in that minivan… at some point someone will fart!

Cairo Private Tour - Worths every penny - We visited Cairo by a Van from Hurghada with 3 children on 22nd October. Akram gave me the best price for a private tour. I arranged it before coming to Egypt. I did not have to pay even a penny to confirm the trip and only have to pay in the morning of the tour (I actually paid on my way back). They were very punctual. If you booked your Egypt trip with a big travel agent you will meet by an agent affiliated to the travel company at the hotel and pressure your to book with them. Mine told me that I will not have insurance if I book through others ( I think he was trying to scare us for booking online cheap). The van was clean and air conditioned. The drivers were polite and good but speaks little english. The tour guide joined us at Cairo. He speaks good english. He knows very well what he is doing and explained everything nicely and clearly. He took family photos for us. The pyramids were little crowded (nothing to with the tour). Great Sphinx was less crowded as we didn't go inside the pyramid which is not included in the price. Papyrus museum and perfume factory was nice as an experience. There was a bit of indirect pressure for buying stuff from those shops. The items clearly appeared overpriced. We did not buy anything though. You can use wash rooms on these places. After the Pyramids, Sphinx, museums we had our included lunch. The restaurant was in the middle of a town. It was clean and tidy. the food presented very nice and appeared very hygienic. The choices are little limited compared to the hotels but well worth. The last stop was Egyptian museum. It will take at least one day if you want to go through all the exhibits. However, the guide took us through the major exhibits and we had time to wander around if needed (kids were tired by this time). It is again a very long journey way back and they will stop at the same food court where it stopped in the morning. The foods at the court is bit overpriced but you have a variety of choices. Tip1: Make sure you collect/carry plenty of bottled water Tip2: Keep some Egyptian Pounds with you as you need to pay for using wash rooms on the food court where all tourist vehicles stops and also at the Pyramids. I didn't have any Egyptian pounds and the tour guide lend me some money (of course I paid back). Tip 3: Use the wash rooms at the Papyrus museum or perfume factory or at the lunch place as those are more hygienic than the once at the Pyramids (also free). I would rather tip driver and the guide little extra rather than paying to use wash rooms. Tip 4: take some water to the lunch as they charge extra for bottled water and of course for any extra drinks. Tip 5: Please have your breakfast in the Van while travelling as there will be no extra time for having the breakfast. Considering all the costs including tickets to pyramids and museum, I think the price was very reasonable. It was well organised. TOP TIP: JUST TEXT AKRAM IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT CAIRO TRIP FROM HURGHADA. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Two Wonderful Tours - Cario & Luxor - I have just returned from a one week holiday in Hurghada. During this time I had two wonderful trips with Hurghada Online Tours, one to Luxor via car and the other to Cario by Plane. Both guides were very knowledgeable but I must say, if you have the opportunity and are in Cairo, request Reeham, you will not be disappointed. She is a force of nature and obviously loves Egyptian history. We had private transport for both trips including the 7hr round trip for Luxor. Both cars were modern and very clean. The drivers were considerate, prompt and professional. I had been investigating the different tours that were available before we went to Egypt and Akram @ Hurghada Online Tours always answered my questions promptly and with detailed information. I was concerned about booking the tours via an online company especially as they were substantially cheaper than tours provided by EasyJet who we booked the hotel through. However when I asked Akram when he wanted payment, he replied he only wanted payment when the taxi picked us up for the start of the trip, so there was no risk. I must also mention that I changed the Cario tour from taxi to plane a few days before departure. Akram purchased the ticket himself taking the risk that I did not back out of the agreement, not sure many other tour companies would do this. The Easyjet representative did try to get me to use their preferred travel company, he could not compete on price with Hurghada Online Tours and therefore implied that our safety could be at risk. If you are thinking about booking any tours in Hurghada do not be intimidated by the local representative, contact Akram @ Hurghada Online Tours and enjoy a professional tour at a responsible cost.

Disappointed - Trip was cancelled 30minutes before we were supposed to be picked up. We left the hotel to meet the van at the main gate as they can't go in (20min waited) and after we went back to the reception for Internet signal to find out our trip was cancelled as they did not have permission to enter Cairo in that day. So woke up at 1am for nothing with 2 kids. This is after they confirmed a day before the trip was on.
