Originally a part of the Serapis Temple, its grandeur was comparable to the Soma and the Caesarean. The journey continues with a visit to the Catacombs, the largest Roman Cemetery cut into three levels of rock. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in Alexandria, then explore the Qaitbay Citadel, constructed on the historical site of the ancient Alexandrian pharaohs’ lighthouse, and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Take time to observe the Montazah palace before returning to Cairo.
