Highlights

Explore in depth the treasures stretched beyond Giza & Saqqara\n\nCairo - pick you up from or drop you off to your hotel in Giza or Cairo\n\nSaqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Sakkara (sometimes called Saqqara) is one section of the great grave yard of Memphis, the Old kingdom capital. Egyptian kings of Old kingdom are buried in Sakkara, located 12 miles southwest of Cairo. The famous step pyramid of King Zoser is one of the most extensive stone building in the history of the mankind and the first pyramid to be erected in ancient Egypt, preceding those at Giza by many centuries\n\nPyramids of Giza - This tour is the time machine where we go back more than 5000 years ago exploring how they live, what they eat, what their dreams are and more. Such an unbelievable feeling you will get, because you will visit the Giza Pyramids which have become nearly equivalent with Egypt itself. Their incredible size continues to impress millions of visitors each year, as they struggle to understand how three kings Cheops, Chephren, & Mikerinos, could have constructed such massive structures so long ago.\n\nRegardless of their fame, the Giza Pyramids are considered only a short chapter in the long history of Ancient Egypt. All three great pyramids, as well as the Queen’s pyramids next to them, were built during the Old Kingdom 4th dynasty.\n

Abdul is straightforward and knowledgeable and we appreciated all the monuments so much more with his edification. The best - Abduo Abdelaziz is an excellent tour guide. He’s thoughtful knowledgeable and on time. He knows everything you need to know about the city, culture and the history. He takes you places many other tour guides can’t get to. On top of that he’s an excellent photographer. And made us all laugh along the way. If you come to Cairo and you need an excellent tour guide he is your man.

Best tour guides in Egypt - I traveled solo to Cairo, Egypt for my 55th birthday and had the pleasure of working with Mr. Abduo Abd El Aziz and Mr. Ahmed. These are two professional first class gentlemen. Upon arrival I was met at the airport with a welcoming smile and flowers. I was immediately briefed on the do’s and don’t’s for the duration of my visit. They stayed in contact with me to offer any assistance even on days I wasn’t touring. They offer a vast variety of tour packages at very reasonable rates. I plan to return with my family next year and you best believe I will contact this company to plan our excursions, inshallah. Shukran gentlemen for keeping me safe and sharing so much knowledge about your country. Until we meet again, God bless! I had the time of my life and I owe it all to you!

Giza, camels and memorable photos - Abduo gave us the right amount of information - not too much that we didn’t remember anything! I loved the stories about how the stones for the pyramids were put in place, the practicalities of moving the stones from the quarries to Giza, an overview of the dynasties etc. No matter how early you’re at the pyramids, it’s going to be busy, but Abduo managed to help us find a vantage spot where we had a lot of fun taking creative photos. They are a fun record of a truly magical trip. We had a short camel ride to see the 3 main pyramids and 6 smaller ones from a different vantage point and again we have fantastic photos. We did go down the hill to the Sphinx, but we didn’t spend as long there as we’d have liked. The traffic for parking is just crazy. We were taken to a papyrus museum, which we didn’t expect. It was interesting and we’re shown how to make papyrus. Then we could buy, or not. Initially, I wasn’t going to, but inevitably we saw something which really appealed to us - a beautiful painting of the Final Judgement and the only touristy thing we bought during our 2 weeks in Egypt. The last thing, which again we didn’t expect was a visit to a perfume shop. We were tired by this time and just wanted to go back to our boat and rest. It was interesting enough, but we’d have chosen not to go. Overall, our trip with Abduo was great fun and we have photos and papyrus as wonderful momentous of a trip of a lifetime.
