Interesting for nature and marine lovers - Went here with my 11 year old daughter who loved it. The theme is rainforest to ocean and there are displays that take you through each of the various eco systems. Very clean and welcoming place, with some free talks and interactive pools. We spent about 2 hours there.

Absolutely brilliant attraction in Cairns! - This really is a fabulous day of entertainment in Cairns. I can see why it is rated so highly as a desired activity or location to visit when in Cairns. The aquarium is set up so beautifully, it is absolutely fabulous. The respect shown to the animals, and the cleanliness and size of the tanks is fabulous. You can tell they really care about their animals here. This is a very interactive experience. It is loads of fun for all ages, and is easily accessible with lifts as well as escalators. There are toilets throughout, as well as an on-site shop and restaurant. I cannot recommend this attraction more highly. The staff were brilliant and so far this has been our favourite activity in Cairns. Do yourself a favour and visit when you are in Cairns!

Sydney to Cairns 2023 - The aquarium is set right in the heart of the city. Very well set up, it will take you on a journey following the water course from the Savannah up north down the Billabongs to the Rivers and on through the Mangroves to the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef. They have lectures along the way, so we sat in on River Monsters in particular Barramundi and fresh water Stingrays. We also sat in on the lecture on Sharks and Ray's. This was well worth the admission fee which we thought was a little high but we could see the worth of it. We were here during school holidays but it was neat hearing the children's oohs and aahs seeing creatures they have not or wouldn't normally seen. There is also a nice cafe situated just outside the entrance. Clean and tidy.

Great time at the aquarium. - Saw a wide variety of aquatic life. Numerous large tanks of coral and fish. Most notable is the display where you walked under the water surface where you could see the fish up close.
