Bucket list experience - Loved seeing koalas up close and highlight was opportunity to hold one! Staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Opportunity to see many native Australian animals and learn about them. Extremely affordable.

Appreciate their kindness - Hello from Japan. One of receptionists who can speak Swahili talked to me in very fluent Japanese and was very kind to me. Also, a photo spot staff was also very powerful and kind to me. If I have a chance to go to Cairns again, I’ll definitely go to this place again.

A great little, local experience - I am a local and was intrigued to visit since the Rainforest Dome had closed down. I was happy to not have to travel to Kuranda to show my kids a Koala and other Aussie animals. Yes, this place is tiny but they dont advertise as a huge, whole day experience. It's a taste of a few animals and an opportunity to have a photo with a Koala. The staff, particularly Ellie and Ellen who took our Koala photo, were so kind and patient, especially as I had a 1yo and 2.5yo with me alone. They take the safety of the Koala so serious but still allowed for a little pat and a photo where all 3 of us were looking! They went the extra mile and it was so appreciated (I wont post the photo as its a public platform). Its a 5 day return ticket so I went back 3 more times in the week with my 2.5yo who absolutely loved the added bonus of the water play section. The Koala is the main attraction and although they are in the trees "on display" they also have a habitat on the rooftop where they can fully relax and be Koalas. I saw several reviews of people commenting "poor Koala's" however if you actually talk to the staff, they are so well taken care of. I will definitely be returning again. There is also an option to pay for a year ticket which gains entry into other local attractions including the Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda and other venues (I cant remember off the top of my head).

Pic with koala - Alfi was really helpful, he squeezed us in as it was our last day in Cairns. We really enjoyed getting our picture taken while holding a koala. The caretaker was full of knowledge and wit, a real character. All in all it was a great experience.

Koalas and Good old fashioned Customer Service - Fabulous customer service from Daphne and staff. The area was not crowded so I could take my time looking at the birds, reptils, frogs and Koalas. Good opportunity for kids to listen, learn and play, as I saw on the day.

Tourist trap - This is nothing but a tourist trap to get you to get a photo with a koala. The entry fee allows you to go in free for the next 5 days, but when all you see is a snake and 2 lizards, some fish and the 3 koalas are behind a fenced area.. and if u try to take a selfie with a koala in the background ; you are told not to do that; as l witnessed one person being told. Its just for tourists and at $40-$50 a photo its highway robbery for just a few secs that you may get to hold it.

Sad & Cruel - This is the cruelest thing I have ever seen , poor Koala bears, they looked so sad, I would love to know how and where they are kept before they enter this hot tourist attraction.
