Exceptionally personable and informative smaller group excursion to then Great Barrier Reef - Fantastic day trip experience to the great barrier reef operated by an extremely informative and fun loving crew. The day was a full day experience lasting from approximately 9 hours. The excursion included full transport, safety briefings, equipment, guides and food and drinks throughout to go and see one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. The crew were helpful, diligent, safety minded and extremely personable throughout sharing insights and their knowledge during the excursion and while snorkelling while also giving us privacy and opportunities to spend time with friends/sunbathe during the journey to the reefs. In total we spent around 2-2.5 hours snorkelling seeing coral reefs, fish, sharks, clams etc with all gear provided by the ship. The food was delicious and spread plentifully throughout the day and the crew ensured to get lots of photos throughout. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you want a smaller boat and a more interactive experience!

Best Great Barrier Reef Experience! - How can you come to Cairns and not see the Great Barrier Reef? There are so many different companies offering this experience but when scrolling through reviews, this is the only one that took you out there with a small group. My partner and I didn’t want to be in a group of 50. There were only about 10 people on our trip (max 20). My partner is not an experienced snorkeled and I am an inexperienced scuba diver who had not dived in 5+ years and we felt very supported by this awesome crew. Highly recommend to anyone looking to see the reef!

Great spot on the reef and knowledgeable crew - We unfortunately sailed on a very rough day with poor visibility. The crew did a great job making sure everyone was as comfortable as possible and took seasickness medicine in advance. The visibility was terrible in the morning due to the weather, but the lower tides in the afternoon revealed a beautiful and expansive reef with plenty to see. We saw sharks, stingrays, and of course a variety of fish and coral! The crew was super knowledgeable and informative. It was my third day on a reef tour and I feel that this crew did the best job pointing things out in the water. I was able to see some clown fish in an anemone that I would have missed if the snorkel guide hadn't pointed them out. I highly recommend this tour -- you'll have an amazing time even if the conditions aren't optimal.

A great day, with a crew who enjoy their jobs. - A great day out. I enjoyed the snorkelling. My wife has never snorkelled before and doesn’t like putting her head in the water, although she is a good swimmer. She was happy just to sit on the boat. The skipper gently encouraged her along with one of the scuba instructed, to give it a try. She is so glad that she did, thank you for that.

Perfect - We were looking for a sailing tour to the Great Barrier Reef away from the mass tours that almost stopped us from booking a tour. We were totally thrilled by the friendly crew, the atmosphere and the sailing catamaran feeling on board. Everything was as advertised and even better. It was so authentic. The instructions were conscientious. Everything was there, especially the chance of shade for fair-skinned people like us. For the snorkeling itself, we were given jellyfish protection suits, which are good for snorkeling and minimize the issue of sun exposure in the water. For us, it was a hit! Thanks to the crew and the provider. Lutz and Judith

A great, affordable sailing excursion with friends! - An absolute blast of an excursion. The weather was a little uncooperative, but we had no problem sailing out and back. Overall great food, drink, and snorkeling service. Worth it!

Perfection - Hands down the best snorkelling trip I have been on. The reef is full of life which mirrors the crew onboard. All of the staff were excellent, great humour and expert knowledge. I didn’t scuba dive, but have done once before. The safety briefing for the dive was so comprehensive I wish I had these instructors for my previous one! A particular highlight was the small group (max20) compared to larger trips (120). This made the experience much more personal, each crew member made genuine conversations with us onboard. Thanks to everyone for the brilliant day out, would recommend to anyone coming to Cairns. Slán go fóill, we will be back!

This was the not a good trip!!! - First off the Crew was very nice and helpful. We arrived early as requested--the boat needs a lot of work--not at all what we were expecting from the internet ads. The weather conditions were clear skies, ocean 3-5 ft seas and wind 10 to 15 with gust up to 25mph. The visibility was about 6 meters. Not the greatest conditions for snorkeling. Filled out the waiver sheets prior to leaving the dock as we were the first on board. Listened to safety briefing and snorkel briefing. We get to the reef getting ready to get in the water and the 3 of us in my group are handed life preservers. Because we are over 65, no explanation prior to this time that we would be required to wear life jackets in order to enter the water. I reluctantly put the jacket on as requested and ask how am I going to use my GoPro camera which I purchased just for this trip at a cost of $500. I was then told that you probably will not be able to get down to see much. ( I have snorkeled around 400-500 times; I owned a sail boat in Belize and lived in Hawaii for 3.5 years started scuba diving in 1974, so I am not new to the sport) . When I returned to the boat I was more than ANGRY. Met at the ladder by a crew member asking how great my experience was. I told him it was the worst snorkeling trip of my life, I felt like a cork just bobbing in the waves. Not able to use my camera or swim down to reef to see anything. I asked on the second dive if I could go without a the life jacket and was told again it was required because of my age. I refused to go out on the second trip. Why was I not told prior to leaving the pier or when I booked the trip that wearing a life jacket was a requirement because of my age. I feel I was discriminated against because of my age. I am an active senior I play Pickleball between 10 and 20 hours a week average 12000 - 20000 steps a day. I am slightly over weight but not out of shape. I would actually like a refund of a least 1/2 of my cost for this trip for not being informed about this life jacket policy of age discrimination. Suggesting it as an option for anyone who might want it would be a better idea. Regards Carl Johnson
