Additional Information

We embark on the journey of crafting a traditional Sardinian delicacy known as Culurgiones, a type of stuffed handmade pasta. The process of pasta making is simple, but perfecting the closure of a culurgiones is a whole new challenge! We commence by preparing pasta and cooking vegetables, then it turns intriguing as you learn to master the Ogliastra ‘culurgiones’ stitch - an amazing technique of skillfully sealing the fresh pasta with its filling inside, all by hands. Once done, we set the table together, pour a glass of red wine, and gear up for an authentic Sardinian lunch, which includes a savory serving of bread and cheese along with the red wine. This event isn’t just a cooking class - it transitions into a convivial gathering where everyone feels at home, and we absolutely love it!

You won't regret it! - My husband and I attended Damiano's class and had an amazing time! We learned how to make the pasta and filling and how to shape the culurgiones (harder than it looks!). Damiano was a great teacher. We can't wait to try making culurgiones at home.

They were so kind and friendly, giving us lots of tips and had so much patience teaching us how to wrap culurgiones and what fillings and sauces would best go with them. Don’t miss out on this chance to experience Sardinië! - Loved every minute of it! We even took some of our own ‘home made’ pasta to the next hotel (coolbox in the car) and cooked it in our own portable waterboiler. Tasted great thanks to Damiano’s recipe ( a bit minty maybe…).

Pasta - Nice experience for those who have never made pasta before. Clear explanation in English with sufficient patience and humor. Afterwards we ate the creations with a glass of wine. Recommended!

Fun and easy pasta making class - This was a fun and easy experience. The chef explained everything, made it easy and fun, provided wine and snacks while working. Even those who do not consider themselves "cooks" can participate and enjoy this class.

Culurgiones in Cagliari! - The cooking class was great fun ~ Damiano was very personable and we all chatted comfortably as we prepared the culurgiones. He had done a fair amount of prep so that we could do the fun part of making the pasta and filling and trying out a variety of techniques and styles. A bonus was the gelateria recommendation for after lunch [as if we hadn’t had enough to eat :-) ]…

A most enjoyable and delicious experience. - The class was great. We learned to cook a local food that is indigenous to Sardinia. Of course we ate it and it was delicious. Our hosts were detailed, friendly, patient and made the whole experience more than I had hoped. Went on a Sunday which was great because the area is mostly closed. Would recommend for anyone to go.

Traditional Sardinian Pasta Making with Damiano in Cagliari - We SO enjoyed our culurgiones cooking class with Damiano in Cagliari! He had done a lot of prep so that we could concentrate on our pasta making, filling, and shaping skills. It was also fun to taste the different cheeses that he offered for an antipasto. Damiano was so personable and encouraging. We all had fun chatting about all things Sardinian as we cooked. We tasted a traditional Sardinian digestif at the end of our time together. We left with a few extra culurgiones to take home, the recipe, and a recommendation for the best nearby gelateria! Highly recommended!
