Embark on a journey through the winding lanes of Castello’s old quarter, where many city gems can be found. Our path will take us past Medieval Towers, Bastions, the Royal Palace, and the Cathedral as we delve into the history of this magnificent coastal fortress.
Cagliari is a city of ancient origins, tracing back to the Phoenician Karalis and built upon a settlement that dates as far back as the III Millennium b.C.
In Roman times, it served as the island’s capital and during the middle ages, it became the hub of various foreign rulers, the traces of which are still evident today.
Castello’s vantage points offer us indelible views of the city, the sea, Molentargius’ park, and the Devil’s Saddle, all in their full splendor.

Walking Tour with Francesca - Our guide, Francesca, was well-informed and interesting, as well as a great source of recommendations for beaches and local restaurants for the smaller town we were based in. She easily adjusted her pace to suit our (much older!) walking speed.

Fantastic Tour! - Be swept away in the rich history of this ancient city dating back to the Neolithic to its current modern day charm. Our guide Anna was as insightful as she was animated while guiding us though narrow pathways to spectacular vista views. History mixed with folklore made this tour extra special! Thank-you Anna!

Walking tour of the old city - Our tour of Cagliari was the highlight of our holiday. Our excellent guide Anna gave us a real sense of the history of the city and the island. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made it all come alive.

Old and Undergroung Cagliari Tours - We had an amazing time in the double Old Cagliari and Underground City tours with Francesca, who was very nice and helpful. It really helped us understand the history of the city and appreciate Sardinia in a new level. For a great price we had a very complete experience that wouldn't have been enjoyed without a guide.

Best way to get to know Cagliari - Anna again let her passion for the city's unique history set the tone for this tour. The cathedral and its crypt is definitely a highlight, and lived up to the billing as Anna's favorite place. The best tour to get to know Cagliari.

Scenic & interesting tour from charming & knowledgeable guide - Matilde was a delight! She walked us around the beautiful old district of Castello, sharing its history and stories. The tour was an ideal length to hold your attention from start to finish, and I would thoroughly recommend this experience to visitors.

Great way to see the city - We were on the walking tour with Francesca. Overall the tour showed a good variety of the old city. The tour guide was very patient with the young child and very knowledgeable about the city’s history. Sometimes it would have been nice to have more recent facts or fun facts. Would recommend this tour.
