Fantastic ranch experience - My girlfriend and I loved this place. We booked a horseback ride on Viator for Friday afternoon. It was on a ranch named Carisuva with horses, donkeys, chickens, atv's and all. We got to ride the horses along the beach near the end which was beautiful. They let us feed the horses when we got back and my girlfriend and I bought some great pictures they took during our ride. We heard that they had ATV tours and as we were talking to someone who worked there, the owner overheard and offered us a phenomenal deal for my girlfriend and I and gave me his personal number. We came back Monday for the ATV ride. They didn't have any tour busses left to pick us up because I had booked it with the owner personally and we had a rental car. It worked out even better as we made great use of our time there. We arrived to find that it was just our guide, my girlfriend, and I and we basically got a private tour with the ATV's. They probably never reached max speed because they definitely had some giddyup. But we still had a blast and got to go fast. Everyone there was very kind and helpful. The property is a few hundred feet from the beach and we asked if we could go to the beach afterwards and they had no problem with it. So we basically got to hang out on the beach for an hour with basically no one else there. It was beautiful. They also told us we could feed the horses at 6 and allowed my girlfriend and I into the pasture. We helped feed the horses and donkeys. We got to hang out and pet the donkeys and horses and ended up being on the property for a total of almost 4 hours. All we were charged was for the ATV tour at a great price. So the fact that we had to drive there worked in our favor as we really got to experience the ranch, beach, and animals. Hugo was our guide for the horseback riding Friday as well as the ATV's on Monday. He was very helpful and kind. He was from France and said he was living on the ranch for a period of time volunteering. It seemed like he enjoyed the experience and he definitely made our experience better. Carisuva basically made our trip as special as it was. I would give it 10 out of 10 because I'm not sure 5 stars does our experience justice.

Gorgeous ranch, well cared for animals, LGBT+ friendly :) - Rancho Carisuva is an amazing place with extremely well kept happy animals which was one of my biggest concerns for this excursion. They also have adorable rescue donkeys onsite! My partner and I were the only two people on the excursion, we were paired with horses suited to our skills and our tour lead Ryan was very kind and knowledgeable. As a nervous rider, I was comfortable once we got going and I felt very cared for. The ride was a little less than an hour over different terrains (earth, sandy, rocky, uphill, downhill). Christine at the front desk took these great photographs! Worth buying since my hands rarely left the reigns to take my own. Would recommend!!

A Day with India and Friends - Fantastic guides, horses had personality and spunk. Love that the animals are treated so well, very social and get time to free range. The staff and animals are very welcoming. Nothing better than crashing waves next to a calm horse.

Nice ride through the desert and beach. - Our guide was very nice and took us through a short path through the desert and then onto the beach. The views are wonderful. My only suggestion is that the riders get a little more coaching on how to stop the horse when they take off on a run/quick jot. That can be scary for someone who doesn't ride.

It was ok, I expected a bit more from what was advertised. - Expected I little more than just a walk in the desert. Would have liked more time walking on the beach. We did not stop or given an opportunity to take photos which was a bummer. They did asked if we wanted them to take photos for us for a fee which I declined since I had my phone to take pictures with. Instructions on horse riding were great and clear. We did get offered helmets but we declined. Not sure to what “park” you pay an entry fee since our guide told us we were traveling on private property and there was no gate or boundary we crossed that gave us the the impression of entering any park. If it’s to their sanctuary, perhaps it should be advertised as a donation not a fee. I do applaud their efforts to sea turtles conservation but that is the ranch’s prerogative. The horses were great and well behaved. They pretty much know the drill and need very little guidance from you. The snack they advertised was for the horses not for us but they did give us a bottle water after the ride. Lastly, it is pretty far up north from the town so expect a decent ride out to the ranch, but the driver does his best to cut the time down.

The guide changed the... - The guide changed the time for pickup which conflicted with other plans we had. He stopped speaking with me when I said the time change wouldn’t work and I wanted a refund.
