Horse back riding. - Our guide Yohari was very friendly and entertaining, the horses their jobs and follow each other and are safe for beginners. The best part for us was seeing the desert and ocean in the same ride.

Awesome experience from a non-horse rider - For not being an experienced rider, I quickly gained confidence and was able to enjoy the beautiful views of the desert and the beach. Our guide Oscar was very helpful throughout the tour as he would guide and teach us to confidently lead the horses. The tour went beyond my expectations!

Giddy Up Y’all - It was our first time riding a horse. We were given a brief tutorial and our guide Alfredo was very attentive. Our experience was amazing! NEGATIVE: The company sent us a pickup time from our hotel for 2:15. We were there and waiting. I called Viator (very helpful) and was told we had a typo and the pickup time was 3:15. The company should have notified us. We were hot and sweaty before we got there.

The overall experience is great! - It will be even better if the photographer can take a photo of the sunset scenery along the beach, it's unutterably beautiful... and also a full moon followed... Maybe it's too much to ask as it may require professional equipments. As we cannot bring our own camera and phones, which is a good idea as the horses trotted, we can only memorize it as long as we can.. Expect a little queue during checkin process, but the efficient clerk made it up..

Good but short - They don’t let you take photos and the camel ride is pretty short, but it comes with a burrito which was yummy

Great for beginners - This was a fun trip for beginners. Our guide taught us how to ride the horse and have us the opportunity to trot at a faster speed on the beach. It was a lot of fun. He also taught us about the plants in the desert. They charged $25 entrance fee for the park - other parks only have a $20 fee. They don’t allow you to bring cell phones so we spent a lot of money buying their pictures. Overall a good experience.

Nice relaxing horseback ride beware of upcharges - Good: Was fun family experience riding on the dunes and on beach. Horses we friendly and well behaved. Guides were informative and helpful. Free pickup and drop off from your hotel. Bad: Tour company looks to upsell you on trip. On standard trip no cameras allowed so you have to put everything in a locker before you leave. Then they take photos during rides and charge you $20 each pic. You have to pay $20 cash pp for “park fees”?? Did not see signs stating entering park.

Surrounded by ATV’s and No phones/cameras allowed on ride - This was an excursion through Norwegian cruises operated by Cactus tours. They picked us up from the port and it was about. 30min drive to a complex that also offered ATV and camel rides. We were given a helmet and brief instruction on riding a horse. We were split into two groups of 8. Bruno the instructor worked hard entertaining us but being surrounded by noisy ATV’s one of which followed us taking pictures (you were not allowed your camera or phone ) it somewhat lost the ambiance of being on the pacific coast. Bruno saw most of us were ok on a horse and let us trot which was a plus. The horses were in reasonable condition though many like mine had scars and there was no shelter provided from the hot sun for those not being ridden as far as I could see. In this respect I wish I had kept my money but wanted to get back on a horse again after many years out of the saddle and have to trust they are cared for. If not on a cruise I would look for smaller concerns for a horseback ride. If I had been told we could not take our phones on booking with Norwegian I would not have gone as any operation with this policy is all about profit. The photos were good and I expect people would have been more willing to buy them if they had been allowed to keep phones. I would not buy one out of principle. Would also have been nice if we could have given the horses a treat after the ride.
