Seriously amazing. - This! If you not do one excursion into the natural world of Puerto Rico, make it this one. We did the late 8:30 tour and even under the full moon, it was amazing. I have been fortunate to do and see a lot of things in my life and this experience will be ranked in my top ten, forever. Do it.

Genuinely good people - As we were paddling through the mangroves a young person in our party started to feel ill. My sister offered to paddle him back to base but needed to change kayaks to do so. Staff helped with that process and then helped us catch up to our group. Everyone was kind and professional and excellent paddlers. Jesus has a terrific voice for narration and was informative and entertaining. Would highly recommend this company, really feel that they care about the bioluminescent bay.

Great experience! - This was a fabulous tour! Kayaking in the dark through a mangrove forest and then seeing the amazing bioluminescent bay was a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico. This tour company was very friendly and provided a great experience (even providing bug spray before heading out on the kayaks, and a rinse off of legs/feet and water/snacks when the tour was done). I highly recommend them!

Great luminescent kayak tour - The guides were informative and entertaining. Jesus led the tour, and when Jesus is in the lead, you know you're in for a good tour. The tour went through a channel to get to the lake which was a neat part of the trip. The colore in the lake were amazing. The guides provided a tarp to cover you and really make the luminescent algae shine.

No regrets! Great guides and excellent viewing of the bio bay!! - We had an amazing trip! My wife and I are 51 and our daughter 14. It is a fairly vigorous kayaking trip, but we saw people of all ages. Approximately 1 mile to get to the bay and nearly 2.5 mile total distance kayaking trip. About two hours. We had excellent weather for the 8 PM trip with great visibility of the bioluminescence. Just pay attention to your paddle once you hit the bay and you’ll see the water lighting up with each stroke. Then there is a demonstration to better understand what you’re seeing once everyone gathers in a group. Well worth it to see one of these natural wonders that are so rare to come across! The kayaking gets a little bit chaotic in the canal when other groups are passing, and some people have submitted low reviews for this, but like everything if people are just patient and kind I t is really no big deal. The water is super shallow and the trip is very safe. There are plenty of tour guides to make sure everyone has a good time and no one gets left behind. Highly recommend this company!!

Kayak tour through mangroves into the bioluminescent bay - The bioluminescent bay tour by kayak was an amazing experience with a course through a canal lined by mangroves that leads into the bay. Our guide was very helpful and his team was making sure that we stay on course. Would for sure recommend it to anyone interested in exploring bioluminescence.

Incredible experience, just wish we had more time - This kayaking tour was an incredible experience! The crew was knowledgeable and very organized from start to finish. Kayaking through the mangroves to Laguna Grande at dusk was fun, but even more fun on the way back when it was nearly pitch black. There were glowsticks on each boat and the guides were all around us, so I never felt unsafe. The entire crew was great, especially Jesús who explained the science behind the bioluminescence. With that said, I wish that the tour allowed us to wander off for 5-10 min within Laguna Grande so we could try to get pictures of the bioluminescence. When we made it to the bay, we were all connected and huddled with “tents” over every four kayaks. We were told we couldn’t use any artificial lights including our phones. I completely understand why, and I wouldn’t want to ruin anyone else’s experience with my phone’s light, but having the opportunity to go out in the water a bit with our own tent could’ve elevated the experience for my friend and me. Additionally, the time in the bay was pretty limited, only 5 min or so to run our hands and paddles in the water to watch. I would absolutely recommend it and would do it again, but hope the crew can find ways to allow more time. TIP: Wear swim clothes because your bottom half will be soaked. We were running late from our previous adventure and I didn’t bring clothes to change into. I’ve kayaked a dozen times before back home and have never gotten soaked, so I didn’t think it’d be a problem. 😅 I ended up buying a towel and some shorts from the gift shop across the street because it was a little over an hour drive back to San Juan. Don’t make my mistake!

Crew was super, experience was underwhelming - The Yohaku team was fun, entertaining and attentive - only compliments for them! The experience was less thrilling than we expected. We spent about 30 min kayaking at sunset through the canal which was nice. Once out in the bay, we only spent about 5-10 min experiencing the bio effect. Team is certainly not responsible for the weather and they did their best in putting a tarp over us but we actually experienced more of the bioluminescence on the kayak ride back when our paddles hit the water than when we were in the bay. Nice kayaking experience but that’s about it.
