  • 8462 Sideroad 26 & 27 Nottawasaga - Visit us at stepitupadventures.ca - Hiking/Snowshoeing/Paddling Back Country Tours.

Enjoy a guided 5.5km-6.5km(3hr) hike a top the Niagara Escarpment that will take you through the Singhampton Caves, near the Town of the Blue Mountains/Collingwood.

The first 2.5km(1 hr) of this hike you will observe several lookouts over the Pretty River Valley and the distant Georgian Bay. Along the trail there are several 80-100 year old Sugar Maple trees and small crevice caves in a diverse forest.

The next 1km(30-90min) of this hike takes you through the spectacular Singhampton Caves which involves scrambling over rocks and clambering though tight fissures while taking in the grandeur of the giant moss covered walls.

The hike back is either 2km or 3km(1-1.5 hrs), depend on our guests interests.

Nottawasaga Bluffs vs. Singhampton Caves tours: The Singhampton caves are all open, have taller walls making them more grandeur. The Nottawasaga Bluffs main caves are less numerous, but the side caves offer underground discovery options and a larger lookout point.

Additional Information

What sets this excursion apart is the personalised touch your guide adds based on your preferences. Regardless of individual tastes, every visitor will traverse the same 2.5km path to the Singhampton Caves and enjoy an awe-inspiring tour of the caves. Your guide, though, will adjust your return path to fulfil your adventure desires. You have the option to choose from four different paths, which range from 2.5km to 4.1km. Some paths take you to spectacular viewpoints, others bring you close to more cave and crevice experiences, while one path leads you to a peaceful rest under the Wedding Tree.

After exerting energy on your hike, we recommend replenishing at one of our local spots such as the Mylar & Loretta’s Restaurant, a historic 1850’s establishment located in the small town of Singhampton that offers both a dining room and a garden patio. Alternatively, if you’re more in the mood for a laid-back beverage, consider making a stop at the Duntroon Cyder House and Farm, a short 10-minute drive on the outskirts of Duntroon.

Awesome Outdoor Experience! - While away on business in Collingwood the Singhampton Caves tour peaked my interest as I was looking for things to do in the area. I actually stayed at the end of the day Friday to take this tour and that was the right choice; the tour was fantastic and the caves beautiful. I am very glad that I booked with Step it Up Adventures, my guide took me through the trail and caves at my own speed and pointed out many additional unique features of this trail such as the massive Sugar Maples and numerous smaller crevices in the area. This was the first time I have taken a guided hiked and I really got a lot more out of the experience than I would have without a guide to ensure we did not miss a single part of the landscape.

Great trip in the caves! - While living close to these caves, my family and I had never made the trip. We finally decided to book with step it up adventures and could not be more pleased with our decision. The guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and and a lot of fun. They taught us a lot about the area in our own backyard and made the whole experience care free and enjoyable. Will definitely book again for different hikes !

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in wilderness with the family. - The Singhampton caves hike was the highlight of our weekend away at Blue Mountain. The trail and caves are incredibly beautiful. The leaves are just starting to change and the contrast between the moss and fern covered rocks will be absolutely stunning in a few weeks. I plan to return to the area in a few weeks and take Step it Up Adventures’ Nottawasaga Bluffs Caves tour to experience the fall colours at their peak in a different cave system. Our guides were amazing on the trail and helpful in providing information on other places to visit and dine in the area.
