We have over 10 different surf locations on our doorstep, ready for the ultimate surf experience. Your surf instructor will find the best, fun and safest waves to suit the surf conditions and your surf ability. Our lessons are suited for beginner - intermediate surfers.
We have a great range of equipment, with over 80 fun safe soft surfboards and intermediate to advanced boards that will help you to learn faster and catch lots of waves.

The best wave of your life is still out there! 🏄🏽♀️ - I’ve had such a great experience with Soul Surf. I’ve been taught confidence in my ability, technical guidance, how to select the best waves and surf the green water, and a few wise proverbs along the way, but most importantly

Good fun - I had x2 private sessions with Kirsty just over a month ago and she was brilliant. She made it very easy for a beginner to understand and I was able to stand up fairly quickly in tricky conditions. The whole experience was great, if you've had a lesson and want to hire a board for another time, you just need to be aware that they will give you a smaller board if you want a tall foamy as they reserve the taller boards for clients having lessons.

Just an amazing surf lesson with Angel - My husband and I had a private surf course with Angel yesterday. We've never stood on a surfboard before but Angel gave us a perfect introduction and explanation of surfing. It was great fun and we would have loved to extend our stay in Byron, just so we could have booked another surf course with Angel. He also gave us some great restaurant tips, which we were very grateful for. Many thanks for everything!

Great private surf lesson - The instructor Alex was nice and friendly. They changed beaches for better conditions which is good. Our son was standing up and enjoyed himself. Easy communication throughout and everything ran to time

Excellent instructors, beautiful beach, great surf - We had Caleb & Stephanie for our private surf group lessons and they were just great. Encouraging, fun & amazing with the kids.
The kids now want to continue surfing, thanks to them.

Bodacious, dude! - I had such a fulfilling lesson with Soul Surf School. My goal was to stand up on the board by the end of the 120 minutes, but my wonderful instructor Tinus was such a great teacher that I achieved my goal in the first 20 minutes! Tinus ensured that I felt safe, seen, supported, challenged and engaged for the entire experience and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to learn from him! This was a total highlight of my time in Byron Bay and I highly recommend Soul Surf School for anyone considering giving surfing a try!
