This tour delivers some of the most pristine landscape views in all of Southcentral Alaska and the Mat Su Valley. Expect to see salmon journeying under your paddle-craft towards their breeding grounds, and keep an eye out for ducks and eagles soaring above, and perhaps even spot a moose grazing in the water.

The tour kicks off with a paddle across Jim Lake and swiftly transitions into a brief overland portage towards Jim Creek. The next stop is at the beach of the Knik River, fed by the expansive Knik Glacier. Seize this opportunity to capture some photos with the glacier serving as a spectacular backdrop. As the starting point of the Knik River, the Knik Glacier is the largest glacier in Southcentral Alaska. After a short pause for some majestic views, we resume our paddling journey down the Knik River all the way to our finish line at the historic Knik River Bridge.

Really enjoyed this kayak experience - We were a group of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) that had a wonderful time on this kayak tour. We took the 3:30 1/2 day tour and the weather and the views were just perfect. We particularly enjoyed the variation in waters that we went through from the initial lake to a fresh water river to a glacially fed river. Great introduction to kayaking for our crew. Thank you Paddle Sports by True North AK!

Wonderful kayak tour - Had a great time kayaking. Derreck was friendly, engaging, and attentive to us and knows a lot about the area. We saw a moose and enjoyed the calmness, while kayaking. Highly recommended.

Great Day - Found the guide to be knowledgeable and very safety conscious. Everything was provided for the trip and given plenty of instruction regarding the half-day paddle activity and instruction on appropriate dress. As a group, it was a fun day. Not being from Alaska, I got to see parts up-close I had only seen on the map. Great Day!

This tour company is a... - This tour company is a fraud. They had no waivers signed, no safety measures. Asked the infant to sit by herself for 4 hours or 5 people on the same kayak. It was a dirty creek and not a river where they were operating from. No tour office or no others people for the tour. It was the tour operator and his family at the place. Super dirty car pick up. Altogether a nightmare. So, we ended up not doing the tour and asked him to drop us back to the meeting point. It is a fake and fraudulent tour.
