Coming in 2023! Discover Alaska by cruising through its original pathways - its rivers and lakes. This tour delivers some of the most pristine landscape views in all of Southcentral Alaska and the Mat Su Valley. Expect to see salmon journeying under your paddle-craft towards their breeding grounds, and keep an eye out for ducks and eagles soaring above, and perhaps even spot a moose grazing in the water.
The tour kicks off with a paddle across Jim Lake and swiftly transitions into a brief overland portage towards Jim Creek. The next stop is at the beach of the Knik River, fed by the expansive Knik Glacier. Seize this opportunity to capture some photos with the glacier serving as a spectacular backdrop. As the starting point of the Knik River, the Knik Glacier is the largest glacier in Southcentral Alaska. After a short pause for some majestic views, we resume our paddling journey down the Knik River all the way to our finish line at the historic Knik River Bridge.
