- Jim Lake - Paddle across Jim Lake to reach the first portage of this kayak/SUP tour. Here, enjoy the initial glimpses of distant glaciers. After portaging, the route follows McRoberts Creek to its confluence with the Knik River.
- Knik Glacier - Serving as the backdrop for this paddling tour, the largest glacier in South Central Alaska is a sight to behold. The glacier-formed valley is teeming with wildlife, including moose, bears, eagles, and salmon, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. A stop at a viewpoint offers a stunning view of the majestic Knik Glacier, perfect for photos, weather permitting.
- Knik River - After capturing photos, the journey continues with a float down the Knik River to the lunch spot at the Old Glen Highway Bridge. This river is fed by glaciers.
- Palmer - The tour pauses at the Old Glen Highway Bridge in Palmer/Butte, Alaska, for lunch and a chance to stretch.
- Knik River - Post-lunch, the float continues on the Knik River back to the starting point at Reflections Lake, where the trip began.

Introducing the 2023 full-day tour! This adventure takes you along a glacier-fed river winding through a valley sculpted by glaciers. As you paddle through the river’s winding path, it’s common to encounter a variety of wildlife that inhabits the river system. Watch salmon swim beneath your paddle craft as they journey to their spawning grounds. Additionally, you might spot ducks and eagles soaring above, and perhaps even a moose enjoying a meal in the water.
The tour begins with a paddle across Jim Lake, followed by a brief overland portage into Jim Creek. The journey concludes on the shores of the Knik River, which originates from the Knik Glacier. While there, capture some photos with the glacier as a stunning backdrop. The Knik Glacier, the source of the Knik River, is the largest glacier in Southcentral Alaska. From this point, the tour continues downstream to the mouth of the Knik arm of the Cook Inlet.
- Children 10 and under can ride along in a parent or guardian boat.
- Lap children are a one to one ratio, with their adult, other children can come but will be required to sit in their own seat on the paddle craft.
- This is tour is beginner kayakers; however, you need to be comfortable with paddling your own kayak through cold water, waves, and wind and with walking though mud.
