Additional Information

Launching in 2023! Our all-day expedition takes you along a river that’s replenished by glacial meltwaters as it winds its way through a valley sculpted by a glacier. It’s not a rare sight to encounter diverse wildlife that frequents this river system as our journey takes us through the winding water path. Watch out for salmon journeying upriver underneath your paddle craft to reach their breeding grounds. It’s also typical to spot ducks and eagles soaring in the sky above, and if we’re lucky, a moose indulging in a riverside meal.

We begin our journey by traversing Jim Lake via paddle and follow it up with a brief overland trek to Jim Creek. Ultimately, we disembark at the sandy stretches of the Knik River, which originates from the Knik Glacier. While here, make sure to capture some memories with the imposing glacier as your backdrop. Counted among the biggest glaciers in Southcentral Alaska, the Knik Glacier serves as the source of the Knik River. Our journey continues downstream, culminating at the estuary of the Knik arm of the Cook Inlet.

Kayak Tour - The paddle boarding/kayak adventure was incredible. I had not had a lot of previous kayaking experience before. Derek was helpful when it came to myself asking a lot of questions. Heather was great in preparing me before the journey on what to expect. You get to see the beauty of Alaska through a different perspective. It was road less traveled in the best way, if you want to get away from crowds, this is the best way to take in nature and enjoy yourself.
