This must be on you list of to-do’s in Rwanda - This trip was well organised, the bridges well constructed. The walk back is up hill but the walk on top of the rain forest made all the physical exertion worth is.

Incredible Canopy - Incredible experience. The beauty of this national park is impressive. The canopy itself is only part of the attraction. Surrounded by monkeys and mountains - this is a great experience.

UNESCO day trip from Kigali - This day trip was exactly what I had wanted to do since the National Park had recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darius delivered. He picked me up early that morning as agreed, made the long drive in the rain with competence and cheerfulness. He even knew to remind me to order a box breakfast from my hotel that I didn’t even know they could provide! He is very knowledgeable, a good communicator and is a real pleasure to travel with. The hike at the park was great and he made sure I had the right gear and documentation for the park. It was a long day for him, but he was incredibly upbeat and kind. He paced bathroom breaks and stops well too. Nothing but great things to say about this trip and my experience.

Great Rwandan experience with Darius! - I did a tour from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda with Usalama Tours, which I chose after reading some nice comments and reviews from previous customers. It was a great decision, as the tour was great and everything went smoothly. All details were arranged by whatsapp messages and e-mail, which they were always very quick to respond. They sent me all the information and the payment details with very clear instructions and I paid in an MTN office in Kigali as instructed. On the arranged day Darius showed up at our hotel on time to pick us up and take us to the National Park. Darius is very nice and we had interesting and funny conversations during our long ride to the Park. He also made sure the ride goes according to plan and he also tried to accomodate all our requests. The tour of the National Park, especially the canopy walk are really worthwhile. I truly recommend you use Usalama Tours on your next trip to Rwanda!

Great for Solo travelers! - A great choice for someone who may feel overwhelmed by planning and logistics. Darius had it all figured out! I’m sure a DIY plan of this would have been more budget friendly, but I had a lot on my plate and it was so nice to have someone else figured out all the logistics. WHAT TO EXPECT: -Darius will be in great communication with you via WhatsApp -He is very flexible regarding pick up, I changed my pick up location last minute and he was very accommodating -He’ll pick you up at 5 am. I recommend sitting in the front seat as the road is very curvy and this might help with car sickness -I slept the ride up (bring a pillow!). The drive is about 4 hours -When you get there, he’ll arrange for a guide to take you into the forest. It is about 1 hour to 1.5 hours of walk. Very beautiful, and the canopy is great. They recommend rain coats and rain boats -Lunch at the restaurant is included -Drive back — about 4.5 hours for us because there was traffic.

An amazing trip to the Canopy Walk! - Would highly recommend Usulama! Darius took us to the canopy walk. He was extremely polite, informative and fun! We had the opportunity to jam the whole way back to music. While we were not able to see some of the sites due to rain it was still an awesome trip. Would love to use Usulama on my next trip to Rwanda and would certainly recommend Darius and Usulama to others.

Simply incredible - The canopy walk is amazing! To be more than 200 ft up from the forest floor is almost indescribable. Darius was a great guide, and made the drive from the city very fun. I would absolutely recommend this activity.

Baboons, mountain monkeys and rare birds - Baboons, mountain monkeys and rare birds were some of the sightings on the Canopy Walk in Nyungwe. Wonderful to see this Rwanda gem. Great guide. Remember: a recent covid test, good hiking shoes, bug spray and rain gear (it is a rain forest). I had a wonderful and informative driver who was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. They adjusted the tour around my flight schedule, which was appreciated. It is a 5 hour drive from Kigali.

Felt unsafe due to guides behaviour - The canopy walk itself was beautiful, I happened to have perfect weather and got to see lots of monkeys which was really cool. However I have given this trip a poor rating because the tour guide who from my understanding is the operator of the company made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. On the drive there and back he asked many wild and inappropriate questions regarding western culture in the bedroom and my opinions of it. He did a lot of hinting and insinuating that made me feel very unsafe. As well kept touching my leg. Also from his stories I have gathered that I was not the first solo girl he asked many questions about their personal relationships. He also ignored many of my attempts to shut the conversation down. I absolutely would not recommend for other female solo travellers. The tour would probably be fine for groups, couples or men.
