So many truffles!!! - What a great experience! We started at the easy to find location. After a brief chat and loading up the dog, we were off. We found 3 large black truffles. Then those were prepared for a full lunch. I went for the hunting part. The meal was a LOT of truffles. Didn’t expect it to be in everything but the dessert. 🤣 Overall, really fun excursion.

Extraordinary experience to discover a great tradition 🔝 - Really a fantastic experience 🔝 the one we lived at the company Di Iorio Tartufi, a beautiful company specialized in the research and processing of truffles that we had the pleasure of knowing during a recent stay in Molise. Research and workmanship, it was said, but certainly not only, because on site are proposed experiences in the round that allow the visitor to fully immerse themselves in the discovery of a tradition undoubtedly fascinating. There are essentially two tours available, "Truffle Hunting with aperitif" and "Truffle Hunting with tasting and company visit". We opted for the second one, showing up on the spot, as planned, at 10.00 🕙 on the spot of a gloomy ☁️ Tuesday at the end of January. Once parked the car 🚘 at a nearby rest area 🅿️, we reached 🚶🏻🚶🏻‍♀️ the entrance of the structure where we were warmly welcomed 🤝🏻 by a couple of managers 🧑🏻‍🦲🧑🏻, one of whom turned out to be our guide. Very kind the latter 🧑🏻 in accompanying us inside a lovely tavern that doubles as a visitor center and a small shop of products. Really cozy this space, furnished in a rustic style with various farm tools 🪓🪚 and also including a beautiful fireplace with a fire lit 🔥; on the walls you can then see newspaper articles 📰, posters 📃 and certificates celebrating the achievements of the company. Here we were immediately offered a welcome coffee ☕️ while our guide, a young and friendly guy 🧑🏻, gave us an interesting and exhaustive overview of the "world of truffles" also illustrating the origins of the company itself. After about forty minutes, the boy 🧑🏻 then invited us to follow him in the car to begin the second phase of our experience, that related to the hunting of truffles. We then took the car following his van 🚙 🚗 up to a nearby oak grove 🌳 (trees on foot of which, not surprisingly, often develop just truffles). Here we have also made the acquaintance of our hunter, that is a nice male dog 🐩 breed "Lagotto" specialized in the search for these valuable products of the land. Immediately the hound 🐩, got out of the van 🚙 and headed towards the grove 🌳, got to work starting to smell here and there. And here appears, already after a few minutes, the first black truffle ⚫️ extracted directly from the ground by our four-legged friend 🐩. Shortly after, a second discovery materialized, at the end of which the dog 🐩, as we had been told, finally returned independently to the van (an unequivocal sign of the absence of further truffles in the area). As a reward, always important to reward the work of the animal 🐩, here is the delicious fresh cup 🥓 extracted directly from the owner's pocket 🧑🏻 (the classic kibble is much less appetizing). It was really exciting to watch the dog 👀 live 🐩 at work in his natural environment 🌳; from the sudden shots to chase the tracks (even with the nose up when the wind 🌬 moved the smells in the air) to the digging up of truffles, our four-legged friend 🐩 undoubtedly knew how to amaze us 😮 with his skills. By the way, the two truffles found by the dog 🐩 were kindly delivered to us as "booty of the day". Once back in the company, approximately around 11.00 🕚, we then carried out a guided tour of the laboratory and other environments dedicated to processing and packaging 🫙 of finished products. And then, the grand finale, or the tasting 😋, always held at the tavern / visitor center mentioned above. In short, we were served several courses that I summarize below: • chopping board with canapés mixed with "truffle sauce", "light truffle sauce" and "olive sauce with truffle"; • cutting board made with mixed cheeses 🧀 (if I’m not mistaken goats), honey 🍯 truffle and spicy truffle sauce 🌶; • starter with mixed croutons (stuffed with tomatoes 🍅 both fresh and dried and onions 🧅), mozzarella cherries, cold cuts, rocket and cheese flakes; • pasta with mushrooms and truffles; • coffee ☕️ and Viennetta 🍰 (ice cream); • water 💧 and a bottle of wine 🍷 ("Molise Rosso" DOC 2023 from Cantina Cliternia); Note that, along with the pruned, we were also served three half truffles to be sliced through a special and characteristic grater (see attached photos 📸 📎). Valid value for money 👍🏻 since in total we have 45 euros 💶 each, paid at the end of the meal by card 💳. Before saying goodbye, about 1.30 pm 🕜, we bought various products, of course all based on the specialty of the house, such as sauces, oil, honey 🍯 and even whole truffles stored in water 💧. In conclusion, a thank you to our guide 🧑🏻 for the courtesy and welcoming spirit shown, as well as for the atmosphere of genuine friendliness created throughout our stay. EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE that I feel absolutely to RECOMMEND 👍🏻.

Fun and delicious!! - What a fun and interesting adventure! Our guide was informative and friendly. We had such a great time walking in the woods watching Axel (the dog) work to find and dig up truffles! The lunch afterwards was amazing and far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend!

A must experience for truffle lovers- exceptional value for money! - Amazing! Well worth the money. We first sat down for a coffee and were given a wealth of information about truffles. We then went on a gentle walk with a gorgeous and friendly lagotto who found truffles almost instantly. After the hunt, we returned to be shown the production area and were told all about how various products were produced. Then came the best part.... the food! We were given a vast selection of food (well worth the value of the ticket) there was a selection of antipasto that was topped with truffle shaved at the table. This included meats, cheeses, truffle honey and jam, crostini and more! We where then given porcini pasta topped with even more truffle, followed by lemon sorbet. On top of this we were given a bottle of local wine, more coffee and of course water. The prices of the products to purchase was very reasonable but make sure you bring cash as they don't take card. (Probably a good thing as I would have bought everything if I had more money on me!)
