A Living Portrait of Presidential History - Stepping into the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site was like walking into a page turned real — one where you feel the weight of that dramatic moment in American history. The house is preserved in a way that makes you pause: the rooms, the decor, the very walls seem to still echo with the footsteps and decisions of 1901. Our guide was outstanding — knowledgeable without being overbearing, weaving stories and context that brought Roosevelt’s character alive. At each room, subtle details were pointed out: where he took the oath, where he deliberated, the objects that belonged to him. These weren’t just artifacts; they were portals to the tension, urgency, hope of that era. What struck me most was how small moments felt grand — the sound of a door, the gesture of a book, the lighting. You come out not just informed, but moved: that person stood where you stood, made choices that shaped more than himself. If you're in Buffalo or thinking of presidential history, don’t skip this. Be ready to listen, reflect, and walk a path trodden by change. You’ll leave with a bit more reverence for that pivotal moment and a deeper sense of how personal history intersects with national legacy.

TR Inaugural Site - This is not your ordinary museum! This takes museums to the next level as it is very interactive. It really sets the bar high and redefines the standard for museums. This is not your regular walk around and look at old stuff kind of museum.

A president for the people- don’t miss this stop! - This stop in a clean but low key big city was a pleasant visit. The interactive entertainment throughout the rooms is quite fun and interesting. The guide, Mr. Visiting I believe was also kind and helpful. We came to realize P. Roosevelt was quite the man and we now want to learn more about him. A man with a vision and a big heart.

Amazing Experience - This is amazing for anyone who is a fan of Theodore Roosevelt or just history in general. The way they have replicated the rooms to be almost exactly as it was when Roosevelt was inaugurated was amazing. There were also some interactive things as well. Great experience!

Where Theodore Roosevelt was sworn in as President - My husband and I visited here on August 7, 2025. We took the guided tour and then walked around the museum on our own. It’s a very nice museum about when and why President Teddy Roosevelt was sworn in as President. This is the site were was sworn in, not where he lived. There was also history about Buffalo and the Pan-American Exposition (Worlds Fair).

Historical Stop in Buffalo - Good stop of historical interest not far from downtown. The home is relatively well restored, even though parts of the first floor were cleared to make way for a restaurant for 20 years. The one hour tours are worthwhile.
