Fantastic dancers & design, & even more fantastic musicians - We chose this Tango show for its location as we had limited time. BUT it was beautifully choreographed, expertly danced & even allowed a touch of humour. The music however was WORLD class!

Actors were all great - I only had one show ticket and because I booked it online, I didn't have to queue at the box office. I also had a pretty good seat. I didn't think the show itself was bad. I wasn't that impressed with some of the show acts, but taste is subjective. What I found totally out of place was the Compensary Dance. It had nothing to do with tango. Then there was another act that I didn't think fit into the show, but was probably a kind of gap filler. But that doesn't mean that the act wasn't good! It just didn't fit into the tango show. At times the audience got a bit restless. Some people had to leave the show early, which I absolutely don't understand. I find that a bit disrespectful to the performers. What I also found very unfortunate was that the tango song par excellence (por la cabeza) was sung right at the beginning and there was a bit of dancing to it. I was hoping for more. That ruined the magic. What I also found very annoying were the photographers who walked around during the show and tried to sell the photos they had taken before the show. They could have done that after the show, so those who wanted a photo would have to try and buy one themselves. What I would find better is if the people who really just wanted to see the show could sit separately and look directly at the stage. Separate from the guests who had booked dinner as well. But overall it was OK.

EXCELLENT IF YOU CAN SEE THE STAGE - The band, dancers and singers were excellent. However, although we arrived at the theater 35 minutes before the show time, we were seated in the last two seats near the back of the second tier, and we weren't able to see much of the dancing anyway. If you're going to go, pay extra, if possible, for the best seats! It would be worth it since the dancing is marvelous. We feel that Viator's description should recommend to customers that it's first come, first served as far as being seated is concerned, so it's necessary to ignore the time on the tickets and get to the theater much earlier than the tickets state.

I WAS NOT AT THE EVENT THIS DAY. - I made a purchase close to R$500.00 via TripAdvisor for Skip The Line: Tango Porteño in Buenos Aires. It allowed you to book and pay later. When I came back and tried to pay, I couldn't complete the purchase because of an error in the app. I simply thought they wouldn't charge because a confirmation message didn't appear at the time. I bought the tickets on another website and now I see on my invoice that they charged me for the tickets that I didn't even receive. I demand my refund or any way to recover the amount unduly charged.
