Highlights
  • Buenos Aires - Begin your 9-hour tour with a drive from your hotel in Buenos Aires to the village of San Antonio de Areco. Enjoy views of the pampas en route and listen to commentary about the area from your guide.
  • Museo Draghi - Paradores Draghi is the ideal corner for those who enjoy the cultural attractions offered by a place. There you will access a tour through the sumptuous space where you can see a vast collection of pieces of rural goldsmithing of the nineteenth century, which reveals the mysteries of a period of national identity consecration of the figure of the Gaucho as a main character of that time.

In Paradores Draghi begin your journey through history not only as a spectator, but also as a participant in the process of making exclusive goldsmith pieces that take shape through the hands of artisans recreating the techniques of traditional goldsmithing as their founder, Juan José Draghi, did in the 60s.

Once you get to the town, you will enjoy a tour of the village including a walk around the historical downtown of the city.

  • Parroquia San Antonio de Padua - Located on Segundo Sombra Street, between Alsina and Arrellano. Don José Ruiz de Arellano founded the first oratory in the center of his stay. The foundation of this oratory was very important for the creation of the town. In the years 1720 and 1728, the first chapel was built, it was located a little more to the right than the current one. The foundation stone of the present church was placed on February 7, 1869 and was buried under the central entrance door. Inside it was placed a lead box containing the original records written on parchment, newspapers of the day, medals and coins of the time.
  • Estancia El Ombu de Areco - Make your way to the exclusive ‘El Ombu de Areco’ Estancia. At this place, you will have a chance to take rides on horses or go for a ride in a carriage while enjoying some traditional cold cuts, cheeses and beverages. Then, you will enjoy a typical Argentinian barbeque of the finest meats. While you have dessert, you will be able to see a folklore show followed by a demonstration of gaucho skills.

Great day at Gaucho Ranch - I recently spent a day on this tour with friends. The overall experience was amazing - unlike anything I had done before - and it was truly special to experience an authentic Gaucho ranch and lifestyle. The meal was fantastic and the food just didn't stop coming! Horse riding was also great fun, and the 'horse whispering' was really impressive. The day was made even better by our fantastic tour guide Sabrina, who took every opportunity to explain everything around us for the whole day. Her attentive nature, great conversation and fun personality was a great reflection of the day as a whole.

High recommend this wonderful tour! - This was a gorgeous once-in-a-lifetime experience. We loved it! Our guide, Myriam Sosa, was wonderful. She was friendly and super knowledgeable. She engaged everyone on our tour including from my kids (ages 10 and 14) to my parents (in their 80's). Our group included people from the US, Ireland, Canada and Argentina, and we all loved it. We rode horses, my parents danced a milonga, we ate wonderful food, we enjoyed the surroundings, we learned a lot -- we all agreed it was the perfect end to our vacation in Buenos Aires. Highly recommend this wonderful tour!!

Amazing Day Trip from Buenos Aires - From start to finish this was an amazing experience! Our guide, Sabrina, was so knowledgeable and fun- she did a terrific job! It couldn’t have been easier since they pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. The food at the estancia is amazing as is the wine and service. We had a lot of fun exploring the ranch, the horseback riding was such a fun bonus as well! Would highly recommend this excursion from Buenos Aires. Pro tip: skip breakfast and come hungry! There is a ton of food!

Great Day, Great Service - Our day at the San Antonio de Areco Estancia was wonderful! The company confirmed our reservation the day before, and promptly picked us at the designated time. As we were on our way to the Estancia, our tour guide, Pedro, gave us a tour and history of Buenos Aires. He was very informative, funny and engaging with all the tourists that were on the tour. The horse back riding, parrillada and the guacho show were phenomenal! My husband and I had a great day, met some very nice people, and probably ate more than we should have! Highly recommend!

Ranch Day - Yesterday, my husband and I spent a great time at la estancia. We had a typical Gaucho day! First, we had a stop at San Antonio de Areco, where our guide showed us the town. Then, we went to la Estancia where they were waiting for us with a tasty and typical asado! It was delicious! we also enjoyed the local dances! we spent an excellent time from the beginning!

Fantastic - We were picked up on time by Marcelo who spoke very good English. Driving out to the Estancia he told us all about the area we were passing and it seemed like we were there in only 10 minutes, excellent commentary. We visited the village where Marcelo knew everyone and took us to silver and leather shops as well s gaucho museum. No pressure at all to buy anything. Very beautiful village. The estancia was next and we met Diago, the son of the owner who welcomed us with beer, wine and empanadas. The horse ride was very good, the assado and ice cream was very good. The traditional folk dancing was very entertaining and then the Gaucho demonstration was very memorable. Overall an excellent experience not to be missed on a trip to Buneos Aires.
