She clearly explained what speciality coffee is and what are the different methods to achieve the best quality in a coffee product. Thorough, Entertaining, Well Structured - The description of this coffee tasting does not do it justice. I would describe it as more of a master class for beginners. She explained the background of different coffees while tying it in with the tastes of each coffee as she did so. She started the session by walking me through a sommelier smell kit and tested how well I could guess each smell. She then further tied that back to the coffee origins and the tastes of the coffee. It was so well done! I've been jaded with doing many types of tasting in my travels around the world. This tasting stands out in my mind BY FAR.
