Additional Information

The Hidden Graffiti & Urban Art Expedition offers an off-the-beaten-track journey that whisks you away through Buenos Aires’ lesser-known southern districts, La Boca and Barracas, in hunt of the city’s most striking street art. Besides exclusively urban art, you’ll discover the nuances between tagging, bombing, pieces, and murals in the lively local neighbourhoods, contextualising it within historical and cultural backdrops.

You’ll gain an understanding of the circumstances and historical events that propelled Buenos Aires to become a international hotspot for street art. You’ll witness one of the largest murals painted by a singular artist, a feat that earned it a spot in the Guinness World Records. *(Be aware that this expedition requires you to be comfortable cycling in city environments; it takes you far away from the regular tourist trails and may sometimes lead to potentially risky areas of the city).

A memorable afternoon in Buenos Aires - If you want a tour that brings you excitement, knowledge and friendship look no further! We had an amazing time yesterday with Martin and Dani from biking Buenos Aires. We took the hidden graffiti and urban art tour in the afternoon and let me tell you, it was a real treat :) Beyond the tour being informative, you could tell the guides were themselves very passionate about “porteño” urban art. They took us to all the must-see spots but also to gorgeous places known only by some locals. They always had extra fun facts about art but also about the history of the city and didn’t let us leave without recommendations for what to do next. The bikes we used were made of bamboo which gives extra flexibility to deal with the Buenos Aires cobblestones and makes them extra comfortable and easy to manoeuvre. All in all it felt like spending a day with old friends, next time we’re in Buenos Aires we will definitely take a tour with them up again!

Beyond tagging: a journey through the history of graffiti and muralism in Buenos Aires - The BEST tour I could have hoped for. Martin was beyond knowledgeable and utterly personable. I learned far more than I expected about graffiti and muralism and would never have been able to see these places on my own. Not only was the art fantastic, but I can't compliment Martin enough. Just brilliant

Amazing experience - The Hidden Graffiti tour was incredible. I really enjoyed getting to know the city another way. The murals were incredible and Patricio was an amazing guide. My other highlights include sharing empanadas and mate.

Perfect introduction to Buenos Aires and its street art scene - We did this tour on our first day in Buenos Aires and not only was it a great way to see this art but it was also a fantastic introduction to the city. Patricio was an amazing guide both as far as showing and explaining the art as well as safely leading us throughout parts of the city we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. Lunch was delicious and the guides really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our tour.

Unique, fun, strongly reccommend. - Thanks for all the great service and showing me BA from another point of view. We explored different corners of the city that are very difficult to get to without this tour and got to see some stunning murals.

Best bike tours in Buenos Aires - Excellent exploration of Barracas and La Boca with truly unusual graffiti. The guide, Raymond, was really knowledgeable and fun to hang out with.

Fun and educational! - This is a great tour! I've done street art tours around the world and this was the most educational. Ray is knowledgeable and very funny. I hadn't ridden a bike in a few years and didn't have a problem at all. If you are Buenos Aires and like street art this is a must do!

Authentic, fun Buenos Aires street art tour - Raymond and the other BA Bike tour guides are extremely personable, fun, and knowledgeable about urban street art, its history and context. Raymond is an adept art critic who provides insights into the meaning and symbolism of art pieces, their cultural relevance, and their relationship to place. The pieces of art seen on this trip are not mainstream and represent authentic Buenos Aires that's off the tourist track. The ride itself is flat and not difficult, however, riders should have solid bike riding skills since riding on sidewalks, cobblestone, skinny streets, and in traffic is just part of the experience. Our group had a great time that made for a truly memorable experience!

We highly recommend this tour and Raymond/Rodrigo specifically as tour guides - My wife and I loved the Hidden Graffiti & Urban Art bike tour but especially loved Raymond and Rodrigo, two excellent and caring guides who knew the back streets and street art stories. We felt we learned a lot AND enjoyed our time with them and three Tango ladies that joined us on the tour. We highly recommend this tour and them specifically.

Waste of a 1/2 day. - This tour was more about the historical knowledge of the Guide rather than the city itself. Bikes sucked.
