Feels like home - Petar the guide makes it feel so welcoming and explains everything. It was a lovely experience and unqiue experience. The local household host was very welcoming and generous. If you really want to feel like a local this is the best tour you can take.

A truly unique experience! - For those who don't like to follow the crowds and prefer an experience over a guided coach tour then this is for you. From the point of booking, Petar kept in contact to keep us informed of when & where we would be picked up (which was just outside our hotel) & was very accommodating in changing the date when one of us wasn't well enough to go on the date booked. From the point at which he picked us up late afternoon in his air conditioned car (small but comfortable & nippy on the mountain roads!) he delivered information in a friendly & informative way, happy to break off and answer any questions we had. Be prepared for a 10-15 minute walk to reach the fortress at the first stop on some uneven ground but this is offset in the knowledge that you are following one of the oldest trails in the country & the stop provides fantastic views over Budva. The monastery stop at an orthodox church is a haven of peace and tranquility & again stunning views. We then headed down to meet Rajco who is the ultimate host & while his English is limited, Petar happily translates to make sure that all are involved in the conversation, which flowed for the couple of hours we spent there. Rajco's obvious love for the land comes out in his own freshly produced smoked ham & the homegrown salad vegetables, red wine & raikje that accompanied it. A true taste of Montenegro hospitality at its' best, can highly recommend.

Wonderful evening! - If you’re looking for something with a personal touch then this is an unmissable experience. Our guide Petar told us a huge amount about Budva and Montenegro. We visited two monasteries, unique in their tranquility and spirituality and arrived at Rajko's home. Rajko is a wonderful host and a truly lovely man. He provided a delicious meal with his fantastic red wine from his own vineyards. The conversation while watching the fantastic views and tasting Raiko's amazing rakia was wonderful. Thank you Petar and Raiko for a wonderful evening!

Authentic experience in the Montenegro Mountains - We absolutely loved this tour through Montenegro’s stunning mountains, and it was truly an experience to remember. From the breathtaking mountain vistas to the serene monasteries nestled among the peaks, every moment was filled with beauty and tranquility. However, the absolute standout was the lunch at our guide Petar’s cousin’s home deep in the mountains. It was a rare and authentic experience — a feast of delicious, home-grown food paired with a local wine. Sharing a meal in a genuine mountain home, surrounded by stunning scenery and warm hospitality, made the day truly special. Experiences like this are hard to come by and truly make a trip memorable. If you’re seeking authentic Montenegrin culture, breathtaking landscapes, and heartfelt hospitality, I highly recommend booking this tour. It’s a wonderful way to connect with the land and its people — don’t miss out!

Exceptional tour- do not hesitate to book! - This was the absolute best experience I had in Montenegro- and my trip was filled with wonderful experiences. Petar was so nice and friendly and the two monasteries he took me to were beautiful- especially the second one! I had such a fun time with Petar and Rajko at Rajko’s home and Rajko’s hospitality, food, and wine were exceptional. If you want a unique, authentic experience with delicious food and wine, and people who immediately feel like old friends, this is the tour for you! You will not regret this tour and I will never forget my experience. Thank you Petar and Rajko!!

An unmissable experience in Budva - We can’t recommend this tour enough, Petar contacted us via WhatsApp and picked us up from our hotel for a beautiful trip around the hills of Budva. We were only in Budva for a short break and this really made our holiday. We’d advise going early in your holiday as Petar made lots of recommendations of where to visit for the remainder of our trip. We really enjoyed meeting the family at the end and loved learning about the history of Montenegro. If you’re looking for something a bit different, less commercial with a personal touch then this is an unmissable experience.

The most amazing... - The most amazing experience we could’ve asked for! Petar is such an enthusiastic tour guide and showed us amazing places throughout the Montenegrin mountains. Lunch was delicious with fresh, home grown produce, over looking such a beautiful property (also includes some cute cats!). Such an interesting and gorgeous tour. Definitely a great way to see Montenegro through the locals ☺️

Once in a lifetime experience in family home - We had an amazing experience with Petra, he was an awesome tour guide and showed us parts of Budva we wouldn’t have seen ourselves (including an amazing view from the top of the mountain). We then headed to Darkos family home to have a beautiful dinner and lots of drinks (everything which was homemade from Darkos garden). This experience was a highlight of our stay in Budva. Couldn’t recommend this enough!

An Incredible Experience and a Genuine Welcome - Simply wow! What an incredible experience from start to finish and I can only endorse what previous reviewers have said. Petar our guide contacted us to arrange pick up and although we had opted for a pick up point away from our hotel, after a few WhatsApp exchanges he offered to come to our hotel which was great. We were soon heading up into the hills above Budva for visits to a former fort and active Monastery and some magnificent views. Petar told us a huge amount about Budva and Montenegro more generally and his passion was clear for his country. His background in tourism and his passion for providing a high quality experience was clear. Then it was onto Rajko's home for a wonderful experience. Rajko is a wonderful host and a truly lovely man. He opened his home to us and provided a delicious meal with his fantastic red wine from his own vineyards. The food was so fresh and natural, virtually all of it coming from his own gardens and his own air dried prosciutto. The peace and tranquility was fantastic and the conversation flowed almost as quickly as the wine!! If you want to escape the tourist crowds for a few hours, please take this opportunity and let Peter and Rajko show you a real taste of Montenegro. Tank you both for a wonderful welcome and a memorable evening

Delightful time all round - Had a delight time during this tour around and above Budva. Petar was very welcoming from the get go picking us up from our hotel. He explained the history of Montenegro and Budva. We stoped off at multiple view points and places that were breathtaking and interesting. To then end up being provided with a very hospitable host Rajko, that provided a beautiful selection of delights, toped off with delicious red wine and not forgetting the rakija that made for a wonderful evening with lovely company.
