Highly recommended on up to a 35 degree day - We went in the middle of a 35-degree heat wave, and yet we enjoyed it. It is worth enjoying its swimming pools and the decor of the facilities. Very attentive and helpful workers despite the language barrier.

Ignore the naysayers and visit - Myself and Boo got a one day pass which included the use of a locker. We walked there, 40 mins from the hotel and went through the park. When you get to what you think is the spa you need to go right around to the very back to enter. I got the tickets from TripAdvisor, but make sure you have the full ticket available to show the staff. The ticket in your Apple Wallet won't be enough. Once we got our bracelets for the lockers (these are a must), we headed to the spa area. There was one pool undergoing maintenance, but this didn't really matter. There's plenty of space in the pool and we didn't feel uncomfortable. It is warm, like proper warm. If it were a bath at home, you'd add some more cold water. Plenty of other pools of varying hot and cold temperatures are throughout the complex. No issues getting bed either, but you have to be quick. They do become available frequently during the day. Really great way to relax. We spent 6 hrs there. Food and drink are available at reasonable prices.

We arrived 1030am on a... - We arrived 1030am on a Tuesday. Very little queue for our pre booked online ticket. We knew it may well get busy so went early ish. We enjoyed our time there, outdoor swimming pool where you need hats is currently closed (so couldn't wear the special flowery hats I purchased 😀). Still loads of pools to explore. We booked a cabin which was useful. Go with an open mind and ready to take photos.

Great time - We booked this online. Around £30 each. Massive building and loads of pools, saunas, hot pools, warm pools and plunge pools etc. Definitely worth a visit. The lazy river when on full blast is great fun!

Really good thermal baths - There is a very large selection of different thermal baths and saunas that make it not feel crowded, but that you can get to the various activities fairly quickly. The disadvantage is that sun loungers are reserved with towels all day so it is difficult to find one available unless you are there very early. The place can advantageously introduce payment per hour, so everyone would be better to limit the use of them. The food is unfortunately terrible, so if you want to eat lunch there, you should not expect anything good.

Tired and in need of update - Visited the spa with my husband for first time today. Overall impression was clean but very dated. We bought the thalisens package where we got our own room and shower for duration of our stay (4hrs) we had the option of paying extra to stay alday. But we felt it wasn’t worth paying extra. There is many pools indoors and outside all different temps but no jacuzzi. We sat in an aromatherapy room, 2 saunas which were very hot and then went for a couples massage the best bit. I found very relaxing. Around the outside pools there were many sun beds, so there was no problem sitting down and sunbathing. We went up to the 2nd floor to find 2 small outdoor seating areas and indoor hanging chairs with a coffee shop. This was the only one we found as all outdoor kiosks were closed. What could be done to make the stay better? Offer larger gowns we were given XXL and they didn’t go round us. I’m only a size 18 Offer decent sparkling wine and maybe a beer choice for men? Extend the 4hr slot to 5 hrs because this includes getting showered and changed afterwards. 45 min massage and 30-40 min to get showered and changed only leaves an hr for pools. The building is absolutely beautiful but in need of a major update. Some of the pools we didn’t go in because they didn’t look clean. There are other thermal baths in Budapest that look far more nicer. The staff were really nice and welcoming

Not worth it - Overpriced, we visited while construction was ongoing on the outside pool, we weren’t informed of this when purchasing ticket, nor was the ticket discounted! Inside pools are dirty, tiles aren’t clean and spaces for leaving belongings are limited. Only 1 restaurant available that doesn’t accommodate for food allergies. Ordering is a nightmare with the constant queue of people, too little staff to accommodate so many people. Staff themselves are less than helpful, never smile & couldn’t be bothered with anything. This was on a Monday!

Once and never again - Loud, crowded, no rest in the building, the probably beautiful large outdoor complex looks like a construction site where right and left are semicircular pools of water. Everything very old and not very clean. The information is poor, sometimes in English, sometimes only Hungarian. Mostly the guests who don't know their way around, tourists, seem to walk along the basins looking for something. The highlight was that a tourist group with a guide in street clothes was led past us. We book the visit as an absolute flop.
