So relaxing! - All of the cats were so sweet and approachable. Learned some cool facts about them and cats in general as well! Each entry comes with a free hot drink and everyone can try their cat quiz, which if you get over 80%, you get a free prize. I won a small badge, which was quite nice. The staff are also super nice and friendly. Best way to chill out before walking more :)

Short Feline Retreat! - I visited this place because I have been missing my own cats. This was the first place I headed to in Budapest- in search of soul therapy, likely. It is not a musuem per se, more of a cat cafe with reasonable amount of cat related information and a short nine minute audio guide. I did learn a few previously unknown facts on cats. I will be honest, I spent a good amount of my time here trying to figure out if the cats were happy and whether the place was being run keeping their welfare as the main priority. Most of the cats were asleep and yes I know cats spend a good 16 hours of the day sleeping, but I was also wondering if having to put up with so many strangers throughout the day, was too much of stress- hence fake sleeping perhaps? I also wondered if the strange docility the cats exhibited was also part of stress. However I did notice they had about only 11 cats, plenty of space including hide-outs, and in general, well given that I am not an animal expert, I couldn't ultimately decide the cafe was bad for the animals. I wouldn't say I left the place rejuvenated because I definitely left with more questions than answers as to whether they really are happy in there, but for a brief period of time they assuaged the ache of not having my own cats with me. Otherwise the staff were polite, they spoke excellent English and gave clear directions. A drink is inclusive of the ticket price. If you love cats, and uneccesary thinking is not what you do on a regular basis, this place can be a very nice spot to stretch and relax just like its feline occupants.

Small museum too sweet - The museum is quite small but there is a lot of diverse and varied little information about cats. It is very well done. The staff was really welcoming and very friendly. The 10 cats are very quiet and let themselves be stroked easily It was a really nice experience.

Well, I adore cats. Each... - Well, I adore cats. Each meeting with any cat for me is amazing. But this museum does not have too much to offer. But in a city where you don't see stray cats, this place can be a small heaven. Anyway, the staff, human and feline, are very kind, sweet and welcoming.

For cat lovers! - Great little museum and some gorgeous cats. Didn’t get the food to give the cats that was mentioned when we booked and you have to swap your own shoes for some slider type shoes which I didn’t like as had no idea if they ever got cleaned. Worth going though.

Different type of museum - It was a different type of museum. Along with cat themed exhibits, they have about 8 cats that you can stroke. They really put the care of the cats to the fore and they are all content and happy, roaming around.

It's not a museum. Never again, very sad. - I don't put up a star just because the gadgets you can buy are very cute. We expected a real cat-themed "museum." In reality it is a small room on two floors with some painting or cat-themed phrase hanging on the walls, in which a dozen cats are kept. Too many for the space in which you are and especially in an environment that in my opinion is not suitable for them. No natural light, rather soft artificial light and cramped spaces that do not allow cats to have the right stimuli. I would add that more control by the staff than the clientele would be needed: some Asian tourists have been really annoying towards the cats and no one has pointed it out or asked them to leave the animals alone. A very sad place if I empathize with the cats kept in there. As a cat, I'll never try places like this again.
