A wonderful way to see the highlights with plenty of wonderful insights - This was a jam packed way to see the highlights and yet not feel rushed. Our guide was terrific and really insightful. If your time in Budapest is limited don't try and do it alone and book this tour. You'll be glad you did. We certainly were.

Great Walking Tour - Our tour guide Dalia was fantastic. We hadn't realized that we booked a private tour and she did a great job of gearing the tour towards our experiences and really helped us navigate Budapest. We felt very comfortable exploring Budapest on our own after taking this tour and are incredibly grateful that we took public transport on this tour because Dalia was able to explain how to purchase the tickets and how to use the public transport. While we did not go inside St. Stephen's Basilica while on this tour, that was because Dalia recommended we purchase a combined ticket and spend time later to do the panorama lookout as there wasn't time to both visit the basilica and do the lookout on the tour. We got a very good history of both Budapest and the Hungarian people while on the tour. I felt like we really learned a lot. For a walking tour, it definitely covered a significant portion of Budapest. The tour was slightly longer than initially expected, but we were thrilled with how much time our tour guide gave us. We even got to see the changing of the guard which was a nice surprise. At the end of the tour, Dalia stayed with us on the public transport and helped us to get off so we could go do St. Stephen's Basilica and gave us great directions. We also talked about food and she recommended several traditional Hungarian dishes. We were lucky enough to be able to try the sour cherry soup later on during our trip and are grateful for the recommendation. I would definitely recommend this tour, just keeping in mind that was a pretty fast paced walking tour and that the Buda side of Budapest is not very flat.
