Fabulous - We had Louisa, who was amazing. She told us of the history of the city and was very friendly. She allowed us time to take photos and was a fabulous guide for the morning.

Budapest historic tour - This is the perfect tour to get your bearing of both Pest and Buda. Great historical foundation and tips on taking the tube. Petra was fabulous!

Our tour guide was Petra,... - Our tour guide was Petra, and our tour group was just us two and another group of 2 - we got the strudel and got to know them and overall was a great experience - Petra also explained things well and we could hear her well.

A small group tour covering plenty of ground - We would heartily recommend this tour. The paying tours always feel like a bit of a gamble. Why pay so much when you can go on a 'free' tour and tip? But I'm really glad we took the chance on this one.
What attracted me was 1) the ground covered was much wider. The tour took in the City Park area, and we really enjoyed that. It's well worth seeing that area, and the tours that just do the historic centre don't cover it. 2) the strudel rest stop. We were given a tasting plate, which was great as we probable wouldnt have been brave enough to try some of what we were given. As it turns out cabbage strudel and cherry & poppyseed strudel are both really tasty.
Anna, our guide, was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. She shared lots of information which helped us with what to see in more depth after the tour, and she gave us the knowledge and confidence to get around on public transport. She was the perfect tour guide.

Very good and worth the value - The tour leader Baltin was really knowledgeable and nice! I actually had the experience for private because no other people were in my group! I definitely recommend this tour!

This was a great trip to... - This was a great trip to do to get my bearings of Budapest on my first day. Very informative and covered alot of area and history. Anna our guide had incredible knowledge.

Strudel and stories - Monica was a wonderful guide with a great knowledge of the history of Budapest and Hungary. She infused a good mix of personal, family stories with historical facts. It was a rainy day, but that did not stop her from showing me all around the city.

Fantastic walking tour, highly recommend it. - This is a brilliant way to see all the main historical buildings in a short space of time.
Our tour guide, Louisa, was very friendly and had fantastic knowledge of the history of the area and all the buildings. The tour starts at the Opera House in Pest and finishes on the Buda side at The Fisherman's Bastion. We got on the metro twice and the bus once. The public transport system is very reliable and our maximum waiting time for the metro was 3 mins. We stopped at the Strudel House for approximately 30mins. At the Strudel stop you get a free beverage and a selection of different types of Strudel. In total the tour took around 3.5 hours.
Once the tour is finished you get a free ticket for public transport to get back to your accommodation.
I would highly recommend this walking tour as its limited to 10 people per tour. I don't think you would get the same experience in a large group. Also the Strudel is amazing.

Thank you Ester for a great tour. - We had a wonderful tour with Ester around Budapest. She shared a lot about the city and its history. As a History teacher I found it very interesting and insightful. Great strudel and very efficient use of public transport. Would definitely recommend Ester and this tour.

Esther was our tour guide... - Esther was our tour guide and she is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to share all about the history of Budapest and its landmarks. Esther provided additional color and stories to the rich history including integrating some of her own experiences. She is friendly and welcoming and her English is impeccable. I highly recommend this tour as we got a great foundation for the city.
