Must do winery tour a short drive from Budapest - Wonderful drive out to the country side village of Paty. Miki was very informative about Hungary, wine and lot more. At the winery that was first established in 1856 we tasted quite a few different wines and even some from the barrel. The cheese, breads, olives and even an amazing home made dessert that the winery owners mother prepared for us. The weather was great, we sat out on a picknick bench. We got an amazing education from Miki and highly recommend his tour. His englsh was prefect

Wonderfulical wine experience near Budapest - Meeting the winemaker and her mother was fabulous. Also, tasting homemade foods, including dessert, was amazing. Wine was good too, and Mickie clearly knows wine and imparts his enthusiasm along with his knowledge. Learned a lit.

A Most Unique Tour! - This is the most unique wine tour we have been on! Miki is passionate about Hungarian wine and we learned a lot! The wine cellars are essentially Hobbit houses - carved into the earth and topped with grass. Not sure you could experience this without a guide! We tasted about 6 wines and had lots of local meat, cheese and bread. The cellar owner was very proud to have us taste his wines. As a small production cellar (1000 bottles a year) it was amazing the variety of wines he had. We even got to pour the bottle of white we bought before we left! Highly recommended!
