Excellent and informative tour, the real story - Mihai was an excellent tour guide. He told us about Romanian history starting with WWI. We learned about the Communist era from the beginning, including the inside story of real everyday life and ending with the revolution of 1989. We covered a lot of ground walking, but we stopped for a break in the middle and found places to sit in the shade frequently. This tour is a must for anyone who visits Bucharest!

Crash course in Communist History - A great overview of recent history in Romania! I feel like this was a crash course in Ceausescu's legacy in Romania and the revolution. It was really informative and helped us get more familiar with the history of the area.

A great introduction to Bucharest! - It’s true that there are a few different options for communism-related walking tours in Bucharest. My friend and I chose this one in particular on the first day of our trip to Bucharest due to its 12pm start time and us wanting to sleep in after our late flights. Things could not have worked out more wonderfully! This was the first thing we did during our stay in Bucharest and Andrea’s commentary was not only extremely informative, but the tour gave us ideas on how best to spend our other days in the city. We absolutely loved learning about the “City of Contrasts” and getting our trip started on the right foot. Thank you, Andrea!

Fascinating walking tour covering the events in Romania since the 2nd world war. - This was such an interesting tour by Andreea. Fascinating modern history of Bucharest. Loads of information, different perspectives, interesting conversation. We were fully engaged for the whole 3 hours. We stopped for a coffee break halfway through. The tour is all outside and she chose shady areas to stop as it was pretty hot. Highly recommend

Excellent experience - The tour was excellent, the guide had a deep knowledge of the history of communism and plenty of stories about locations and objects along the tour. He was also very considerate of the group, making sure we stopped in the shade (as it was quite a hot day). Would absolutely recommend!
