Interesting half day trip from Bucharest! - Thanks to Gray Line I was able to do this trip on my last day in Romania and catch my evening flight, I was dropped off at the airport enroute back which was most appreciated. Cristian the driver was very helpful and obliging, thank you! The salt mine tour is interesting. You basically explore it yourself. Please note not all signs are in English! There’s a nice coffee shop upstairs but quite long queues so maybe plan ahead if you want to go there. The tour allows 2 hours at the salt mine which is just enough time but you need to plan getting the underground bus back to the car park - not sure how often this runs so please check and plan so you don’t miss your pick up time back to Bucharest. They have a number of activities that you can do eg mini golf, table tennis while in the mine.

Interesting day to the salt mine - It's an interesting place to visit for something different to do. Roxana the tour guide was very helpful and gave us plenty of information about the salt mine and local area. I think that a couple of hours was adequate time to see the mine
