  • Palatul Regal/Royal Palace - Currently the National Art Museum, this building served as the winter residence for Romania’s Royal family and later became the Palace of the Republic during the early communist years.
  • Ateneul Roman - One of Bucharest’s most iconic buildings, it is proudly featured on the 5 lei bill.
  • Piaka Revolukiei - The main building in this square was the Central Committee of the Communist Party, from which Nicolae Ceausescu delivered his final speech to the Romanian people.

Amazing Summary of Communism in Romania - Excellent tour & Guide Alex! We are a 3 generations group and we enjoyed it all equally! Alex told us the (hi)story of Communism in Romania and connected all the dots from visiting the Palace of Parliament and Ceausecu House.
