Recommended tour - Excellent guide Marius, very knowledgeable and pleasant company. Well organised and attention to detail like giving us a welcome Romanian chocolate and giving us a dossier of the sites we visited as a souvenir

Excellent tour and guide - I wrote a more extensive review for Marius on TripAdvisor for his company Discover Romania Tours. Here, I will say, you won’t regret any tour you book with Marius. He is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and everything in between. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Marius again.

Final days..... - Maurice did a great job combining narrative, slides and video to tell the story of the revolution. Would recommend to those who like history.

A great way to find out more and see the sights connected to the communist period. - We had a great day with Comrade Marius. He picked us up from our hotel and commenced our investigation which included several stops and visits plus the tours of the Spring Palace and The People’s House. Both of which were great and for which Marius had managed to obtain tickets. Our discussions and explanations, and the other places we visited helped put these in context and gave us the bigger picture. Marius is clear, good fun and has a nice comfortable car. The ‘investigation’ is a super way of learning more about the communist period and seeing the sights connected with it.

So much I thought I knew...but didn't... - I booked a few different tour with Marius Tatar when I was in Romania. They were all brilliant. But this one, this one truly had me thinking and questioning everything I thought I knew about that period of time. My knowledge of that era, or course, limited to what was reported in the western world. How wrong I was....take this tour. It will open your eyes and mind to a whole new experience.

"Investigative" Time Well Spent - We took this tour on August 31 and found it to be very informative and enjoyable. The guide wove the overall narrative of the events of 1989 into the actual sites involved. The pace was reasonable and the provided written information was pertinent.

Title of program is misleading - The guide was great but the title does not match what this was- it was a tour on the communism time period in Romania. We learned a lot, but it was not an “investigation”.
