Two very informative, interesting days and tours, with Svit - 2 very informative, interesting tours with Svit I am usually well prepared and explore unknown cities alone. In the places in Ukraine, in a state of war and with recent history, the situation is completely different! That’s why I booked the tour ‘Private tour to Kyiv region - the horrors of ruzzian occupation’ and didn’t regret it for a second! Svit is 100% worth the money. He knows more than he can tell in time, shows special features and still drives a car. My second tour was through Kiev, to the right and left of the ‘Dnipro’, to the largest fitness center on earth, to the beach, to the ‘St. Andrew Church’, to the statue ‘Mother Home’ and to ‘Babyn Jar’. A dynamic, friendly tour guide! Thanks Svit!!! 2 very informative, interesting tours with Svit I am usually well prepared and explore unknown cities on my own. Insightful and impactful - highly recommended - It is quite something to witness the aftermath of such a pivotal moment in history and the human tragedy that goes with it. Russia's invasion has left a dark and cold shadow which can still send a shiver down the spine during certain parts of the Bucha tour. Yet there are also signs of renewal and life returning which provide hope. Svit manages the tour well, is good company and has some interesting insights. Overall, Kyiv and the surrounding oblast felt safe and I would not hesitate to return. I highly recommend visiting Kyiv and taking this tour. Slava Ukraine !

Memorable tour of the horrors of war - An honest and well informed tour that takes you through those suburbs that have suffered the most during the Russian occupation in spring 2022. Svet provides a lot of background information about the conflict. Besides the more obvious places, he also takes you to previously normal neighbourhoods to see and hear how life has suddenly turned into hell for the inhabitants. There is of course a lot of rebuilding going on as people try to get their lives backt to normal. So if you still want to get some firsthand impressions about what it was like under Russian occupation, better go soon.

One of the best guides in kyiv - I have traveled halfway around the world and Svet is a wonderful person and an excellent guide. My English is limited and I haven't had any problems. On this tour, everything Svet tells is almost as important as everything you see. Since I will return, I will surely contact him again. Recommended 100%

Excellent way to learn about Russia’s war on Ukraine - This is a really important tour that will help you understand Russia’s war on Ukraine, and how it unfolded around Kyiv. It tells a story of critical battles in the early part of the war, and helps you contextualize what is happening in the war overall. Svet is not just a tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the war and he is also able to discuss and debate key points in a very open and unbiased way. I learned so much from him! I highly recommend to anyone who visits Kyiv, and wants to understand the war to go on this tour with Svet.

Fascinating, enlightening tour with great host - I cannot say enough good things about this tour. Svit is super friendly and fun to be around. He has a broad and profound knowledge of the history and culture of not just Kyiv and Ukraine, but the entire region. While he shows you around, he’ll put things in an accurate historical context. He’s happy to answer any questions and discuss any topic. The things you will see will be both heartbreaking and fascinating.

Tour of Kyiv and war affected zones with Svet - Under the amazing guidance of Svet, our tour encompassed areas impacted by the war, specifically the towns of Bucha, Irpin, and Moschun but also some sites within the city. Each of these locations gave testament to the severity of the conflict, with Svet meticulously detailing the historical and contemporary significance of the events that transpired there. After seeing some of the impacts of the war we moved on to the heart of Kyiv. This part of the tour was enriched by Svet's vast knowledge of the city's history and culture. He also offered recommendations for authentic dining experiences and provided advice for navigating the city's streets and metro. Overall, Svet's tour covered both Kyiv's recent events and past history in a very in depth and enjoyable way. It's a tour I'd highly recommend for those seeking a deeper understanding of this city. Thank you Svet!!
