9:40 am - Arrive at Rasnov, alt. 1000m, and begin the hike through the glacial valley of Malaiesti
11:40 am - Reach the Malaiesti Chalet at 1720m, enjoy a moment of rest, and have a delicious lunch
12:30 pm - Choose between a medium or difficult hike to the top plateau at 2000m
3:30 pm - Arrive at the top plateau and marvel at the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks
4:00 pm - Rest and keep an eye out for beautiful and fascinating flora and fauna along the way
4:30 pm - Start descending from the top plateau
6:00 pm - Return to Rasnov
7:00 pm - Arrive back in Brasov, concluding the hiking adventure

Here, our trek through the spectacular glacial valley of Malaiesti begins, situated on the northern incline of the Bucegi Mountains.
The 6km path takes roughly 2 hours, guiding us to the Malaiesti Chalet standing at an elevation of 1720m. Take a breather, grab lunch, and absorb the stunning vistas. Then, opt for a moderate or challenging hike to the upper plateau at 2000m, giving you a sweeping view of the neighboring peaks. Keep an eye out for Edelweiss, Rhododendrons, and interesting wildlife such as black goats.
