Wonderful guide in Bruges - Dmitri was a wonderful guide. He also works as an elementary school teacher and he is a gifted story teller. He was hugely informative and totally charming. He made the tour come alive. We were sorry to see it end. Recommend Dimitri most highly. You’ll be glad you picked him

Great tour to start your visit to Bruge, even if you have little time. - We had been told that Bruge was a beautiful, must-see city, but we had only one day there. Our private tour (four of us) with Coen was just what we needed: a knowledgeable and personable guide with an obvious interest and education in the history of the area. He listened to our questions and answered them, rather than depending on a prepared tour speech. We felt that in our 2.5 hours we saw a lot of Bruge and learned much about the history of the city and its early importance to the world economy. We highly recommend this tour.

Historic tour given by a native! - Raphael, our guide, had lived in Brugge all his life and was able to provide some additional historic information during our tour. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken! Raphael was so proud of his city and his passion for it made the city of Brugge come alive for us.

Engaging local historian with great recommendations! - Koen was wonderful! He was so engaging and was able to really put the history of Bruges into perspective for our family. He was adaptable and patient with our younger children and was happy to give us more information and answer all questions. His passion and knowledge made this tour a must do! I'd suggest doing this tour earlier in your trip if possible because he had so many wonderful local suggestions that could have helped us better prioritize our visit.

Fantastic tour and guide! - Our family had the good fortune of taking Koen's tour through Bruges in June, and we highly recommend it! He kept us interested in the history, architecture, stories and unique facts about this beautiful city throughout the entire tour. We learned quite a bit in the 2.5 hour tour, but I think we could have spent days with him and would learn only a fraction of what he knows about Bruges. We would love to return there again, and when we do, we plan to contact Koen. Koen, thank you for making our visit to your city so memorable!

Fun and educational tour - We didn't know anything about Bruges before this tour. Despite the vast difference between our (total lack of) knowledge and Koen's PhD-level expertise regarding Bruges, we had a fantastic time together. He was able to provide basic tourist-level info and also rich, historic context for all of the places he showed us. We have taken some great city tours, but we have never taken a tour from someone with as much local knowledge as Koen. The best part was that he didn't just talk at us, he encouraged us to ask questions and we ended up learning so much about this beautiful city!

Great experience - after the tour we really knew about Bruges - We were in Bruges at Pentecost and happened to be on this tour. Koen is a historian and grew up in Bruges. He is a veritable encyclopedia of Bruges' history and can pass on information in an exciting way. We often do city tours - but we've never had such a great tour guide.

An enjoyable romp through Bruges’ past - If you are looking to experience more than the superficial charms of Bruges, then a walking tour with Koen is a must. Koen was a fund of information about his home town, its history, its architecture and its central place in the medieval world. To top it all off, Koen recommended an excellent bar and restaurant for dinner that was vastly superior to the overpriced tourist traps. Highly recommended.
