Great. - Great chocolate museum! We really loved the visit. The tasting at the end was excellent and the smell test, a brilliant idea 👃🍫. The museum is more focused on making and cocoa, but we had a great time!

We loved it - Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. We had such a great time at Choco-Story Brussels. • We learned about the fascinating history of Belgian chocolate. • We watched skilled chocolatiers create delicious treats right in front of us. • And of course, we enjoyed tasting a variety of authentic chocolates. The museum felt interactive, fun, and easy to follow. We booked our visit through GetYourGuide, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. If you’re in Brussels and love chocolate as much as we do, this is an experience you shouldn’t miss.

Researching Bruges’ Chocolate Story — A Sweet Stop for urban chocolate Safari Guests - I visited Choco-Story as part of my recce for a future Urban Chocolate Safari® in Bruges, and it’s certainly a stop that earns its place on the map. Housed in a 16th-century former wine tavern, the museum leads you on a journey through chocolate’s fascinating history — from the Mayan and Aztec rituals right through to Belgium’s praline traditions. The layout is self-guided with a handy audio device, which makes it easy to linger at the sections that catch your curiosity. For me, the live praline demonstration and tasting were the real highlights. There are also dispensers offering couverture chocolate along the route, which adds a playful, hands-on element. For groups, the option to book a chocolate-making workshop (bars, lollies, or mendiants) is a strong bonus — perfect for those who want a memory they can taste and take home. From a professional point of view, I’d have liked a little more on the ethics and modern realities of cocoa farming — something I’ll weave into my Safari storytelling. And at peak times the museum does get crowded, so I’d recommend timing your visit for mid-morning or late afternoon. Overall, Choco-Story provides a lively introduction to Bruges’ chocolate heritage and works as a foundation before heading out to explore the city’s artisan chocolatiers. As part of my Safari route, I see it as both educational and enjoyable — a sweet balance of history, craft, and tasting that will appeal to visitors of all ages.

Nice museum, inviting but almost nowhere a chair to sit, more than 2 hours inside. entertained us. - Super nice museum where we enjoyed more than 2 hours of lots of instructive and fun information about the cocoa bean and of course the chocolate. after more than an hour we were exhausted and couldn't find a chair to rest for a while. too bad because we are already old and couldn't stand for that long. the information was nice and clear with audio equipment that functioned well. too bad we couldn't book online without a credit card. I called the customer service, who incidentally only spoke English and he insisted that it couldn't be done without a credit card. we couldn't buy tickets at the box office either. we went to the tourist information of Bruges and they said that on quiet days it can just be found at the box office of the museum. a nice museum just too bad that there was hardly a seat to be found. also at the shop where we bought hot chocolate we had to drink it standing up. the chocolate demonstration at the end was nice but the employee frayed the text and only in English. hopefully they will do something about it, also many young people were looking for a chair to rest for a minute. well worth it, we were there for more than 2 hours.

Informative and worth a visit - Very informative on the origins and development of chocolate, from South America to Europe. Uses hand held audio players which worked well. Certainly worth a visit.

Beautiful discovery of the history of chocolate from plant to square ... - Perfect museum, very simple, but which explains well the departure of chocolate with cocoa pods, and makes travel in time and different places with an audio guide very well done. Many stations but well explained and short.

Vacation Cruise - It’s ok I expected more. You go at your own pace but it's a little boring to listen only without human interaction

Lost money - I thought I'd get an educational performance from extracting the cocoa bean to processing and obtaining chocolate. But if the story begins with a dragon taking cocoa bean, you'll have lost me before it even begins. It is amateurish, not interesting for children themselves, the price of €14 is therefore far too high. Not worth visiting and certainly not for that price.
