Old Bristol and Harbour tour - We stopped in Bristol during our long drive from Manchester to Cornwall. And very glad we did. Bristol is a buzzing city and happily the weather was beautiful. We booked a walking tour because we've found them a brilliant way to quickly orient yourself in a new city, and find the sights, pubs and restaurants, plus we love history. Mike our guide was a lovely chap, friendly and absolutely full of knowledge about Bristol. With him we had a great tour of this fascinating and historical place. He even recommended good places to eat for that night. He provided ear phones which meant we didn't miss a word, plus he had a folder of old photos, diagrams and maps which was very illustrative.

Great walking tour of central Bristol - Our second tour with Mike, having joined the excellent Clifton bridge to city centre tour in 2023. This tour started close to where the previous tour finished, covering the central areas of Bristol. MIke's knowledge of the history of this facinating city remains impressive, with the detail often enhanced by photos or drawings of the city to show how it has evolved. Apart from the history, the tour touched on the social and economic changes to the city, including street art by Banksy and others. We took this tour shortly after arriving in Bristol for a long weekend, and found it highlighted many interesting areas we returned to the next day for further exploring. Duration was two and a half hours with a steady pace. Earpieces are provided so the commentary can be clearly heard in some of the busier areas.
