Beautiful day out and step back into the past. - Lovely day out with the family. Leeds Castle and grounds are breathtaking. There is so much to see so I would not waste time sitting down for lunch at the restaurant there. We could have spent the whole day. The hedge maze is no joke so beware! If you are traveling with kids the playground area is amazing for getting some energy out. Canterbury is another step back in time. Our guid was very knowledgeable. The cathedral is a wonder of architecture and history. Would recommend this trip to anyone.

Leeds Castle is Picturesque - Leeds Castle is incredibly picturesque and so much more to see and do than just visiting the castle. Definitely do lunch on the terrace overlooking the castle. Visit the falcon area and find you way through the maze. In Canterbury it’s well worth adding on a visit to Canterbury Cathedral. Our guide Gerry was fantastic! Very helpful and entertaining.

Leeds Castle and Canterbury - Nice tour. The address to meet is not in any way marked Discovery Tours but tour guides and buses pick you up directly in front. Transportation is by air-conditioned coach with a toilet for emergency use. Seats are fairly comfortable. You may want to take a book because there isn’t much commentary about the areas you’re passing through or enjoy a peaceful nap. Andrew was my guide and made the tour very enjoyable. He passed out a lolly to everyone and took head counts at each stop to ensure no one was left behind. Andrew has a wonderful sense of humor too. When we arrived at Leed’s Castle, Andrew purchased tickets and then distributed wrist bands for entry and a map. You are free to explore on your own. Andrew entered the castle with everyone, a stunning place, but doesn’t lead an official tour through the castle. Staff in each room can respond to your questions. When the Leeds Castle tour was over, we waited for guests reporting back a tad late to the coach, and then encountered horrible traffic - an uncontrollable situation. Our driver skillfully navigated, and we arrived in Canterbury safely. A 35-45 minute walking tour was offered but due to our arrival time, the cathedral would be closed by the time we arrived, so some people left the walking tour to make sure they would get to see the cathedral before it closed in about 25 minutes. The actual tour part of this package is the walking tour through Canterbury. Otherwise, you have the luxury of exploring on your own and comfortable transportation. Good tour.
