A Step Back in Time: Victorian Architecture and Marine Life

As a museum curator with a penchant for history, I was immediately drawn to the allure of SEA LIFE Brighton’s Victorian architecture. The moment I stepped into the aquarium, I was transported back to 1872, the year this magnificent structure first opened its doors. The restoration work has been done with such care that it retains its historical charm while seamlessly integrating modern amenities. Despite the presence of school groups, the atmosphere remained serene and inviting, a testament to the careful management of the space. We were so impressed by our experience that we opted to upgrade our tickets for a return visit, eager to explore more of what this incredible aquarium has to offer.
