Venice day trip from Lake Garda - A very well organised day trip (although you will need much more than one day to see Venice). The guide was excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful (organising the gondola rides etc). A very enjoyable day!

A Great Day - I booked this trip a while ago and was really looking forward to it. It did not disappoint. It's quite a long day travelling from Garda to Venice, approx 3hrs, but it's worth it. Our guide, Francesco, was excellent, very knowledgeable, very clear about meeting points and times etc, and he was also quite funny. We went on a Monday in mid September, and it was very walkable, not overly crowded at all. The bridges do get very crowded though, lots of people stopping to take photos, but the main square, Saint Mark's was surprisingly quite quiet. Francesco showed us all the main buildings and was very good at explaining the history of them. After some free time we took an hour's long boat tour with our group. This was very nice and a good way to get out of the intense sun and heat. Venice is a beautiful city with loads of beautiful architecture, lovely canals (which were not smelly at all) and more gondalas than you'll ever need to see.

Amazing - Our guide was amazing, very informative. Venice was beautiful. Sat in St Marks squire with a glass of wine (€18 for a glass of wine). Gondola tour and a tour of the Lagoon. Stunning and beautiful.

Beware of tui scam on gondala ride - Took the day trip to Venice from Lake Garda really enjoyed it apart from being let down by the charges for gondolas. The rep asked us for 35€ per person which there was four of us costing a total of 140€ when we got there we could have got a gondola for 90€ felt really ripped off don’t know if it’s the reps or tui but did not get a reply from tui .Really tainted our day .Please be aware before you book

Venice by storm - We’re too many tourists and tic toc posers they should not allow so many all at same time. But a gorgeous setting and worth the quick tour.

An unsatisfactory tour of Venice - This tour was a real disappointment – my husband and I had fortunately visited Venice on several previous occasions, but this trip was to be a treat and an opportunity for my daughter to see the beauty and magic of Venice for herself.
Having booked an English tour, we were heavily outnumbered by German speakers, and although Christina, our pleasant guide, did her best, we ultimately felt we missed out as much more German was spoken than English.
On arrival in Venice itself, the group was split into two, and unfortunately we were given another guide who hurried through the whole tour, passing quickly past the Bridge of Sighs whilst hardly giving it a glance, and leading us quickly via St Mark’s Square into some dismal streets with not a canal in sight. We know Venice reasonably well and it has so much more to offer. We never even got to the Rialto Bridge, despite it being mentioned in the itinerary advertised, and I can only assume that the lady had another appointment of some kind. The audio devices were unsatisfactory and her commentary was difficult to follow. The saving grace was the gondola ride, for which we had to pay extra, and at least then my daughter did then manage to experience the charm of some of Venice’s canals.
After the gondola ride we were given the option of a boat trip around the lagoon (for which we had to pay extra yet again), and were under the impression that the boat would then take us directly to our coach. We had to return to pick up those who had not undertaken the lagoon tour so spent virtually all our spare time onboard when we could have been exploring Venice on our own. Several of the party were confused by this, and again I think it was a language problem.
All in all a very unsatisfactory experience and one we would not recommend. We paid a lot of money for three of us to experience this tour and we consider it to have been a waste of money.
