Wonderful time for the whole family - Was so awesome. Took a 10 year old, 16 year old and 18 year old. They all absolutely loved it. Alot at least an hour. The animals, plants and butterflies are all beautiful

Magic in the rain forest - It was a magical experience in the rain forest with the butterflies, birds, turtles freely flying and roaming around in the midst of incredibly beautiful tropical flowers and ferns and other plant life. I loved it especially when a sweet little parrot decided it liked hanging with me on my arm for quite some time!

Victoria Butterfly Gardens 5 Stars By Gregg L. Friedman MD - Victoria Butterfly Gardens is a lovely tropical gem located just a short ride north of the City of Victoria. The garden has a wonderful collection of tropical plants, butterflies, frogs, flamingos, and other tropic birds and ducks. It is well worth the drive if you are in the Victoria, B.C. area. Beautiful butterfly extravaganza - Awesome array of butterflies living in a tropical environment. The feeding stations weren’t available to guests but sometimes the birds would land on guest’s shoulders. There were parrots and an iguana too. The butterflies were fluttering freely. The gift shop has some nice gifts. Fun for all visitors.

Great family visit - This is a great indoor activity for the whole family. Not our first time visiting, but our first time with the little one and he really enjoyed it as well.

Small venue that’s great for young kids - Small venue, but my whole family (kids 4 and 5 yo) loved it for what it had to offer. The small bug section (“insectarium”?) at the very beginning was particularly fascinating because of the incredible working ants display and the very large bugs on display. Expensive at full price for small size of venue and potentially short length of stay. However, we had a 20% off coupon and made the most of our experience. We enjoyed how unique some aspects such as watching cocoons hatch, etc. Great for little kids or butterfly enthusiasts. Made our kids’ day.

Butterflies, Birds & Insects - On Victoria Day there were a number of cruise ship tours (we were one of them) and guests. The gardens were busy and somewhat crowded. What impressed me most was the insectarium on the way in and the leaf cutter ants. Inside the gardens there were not the number and variety of butterflies. Most were the blue morpho variety. There are a couple of parrots and a flamingo. A visit to the butterfly gardens is better suited for families with children.

Expected More - Small facility with not many butterflies compared to other similar attractions we have visited. 30 minutes at most.

Didn’t get there - I never went. My cruise ship had a problem with my fishing license and I didn’t have time to get there and back in time for my 1:05 fishing excursion. The taxi line was an hour wait at the port. So sad that I had to miss my trip to the butterflies.

Very dissappointed - Could not believe how small it was. Saw lots of butterflies, some turtles, 3 birds and foliage was dead and place was terribly unkempt. Took us about 10 minutes to go through so $34.00 We spent was way overpriced
