Additional Information

The excursion to Peles and Cantacuzino castles is a harmonious blend of beauty and history. Peles earned its reputation as the first castle in Europe to be electrified, boasting features such as central heating, hot and cold running water, a central vacuum cleaner, an electrical elevator and much more, all dating back to the early 20th century.

Stepping into Peles Castle is akin to entering a living piece of art, with each detail, carving, painting, and piece of furniture vying for attention and rivalling renowned castles and palaces worldwide.

Cantacuzino Castle served as the summer residence of Grigore Cantacuzino, a prominent 19th-century politician. Known as one of the richest men in Romania during his time, he chose to build this magnificent edifice that offers a stunning panoramic view of the Bucegi Mountains. The Castle, built in the Neo-Romanian architectural style, is nestled within pathways and alleys leading to fountains, waterfalls, and petite caves.

Amazing trip, perfect tour guide - Amazing trip, could not have been luckier with Dan as our tour guide. He was very professional and made everything interesting and fun. Would highly recommend. If we would change anything we would maybe skip Cantacuzino castle, but everything else was very interesting to see.
