The expansive, Bavarian-style Peleè Castle was built among a lush forest to house Romania’s royalty in the 19th century and is among the most beautiful in Europe. A guide will lead you through many of its immaculate, ornate rooms, still adorned with luxuriant furnishings and décor. You’ll also have the chance to tour the neighboring Pelièor Castle, a smaller royal residence decked out in art nouveau finery.

Cantacuzino Castle served as the summer residence of Grigore Cantacuzino, a prominent 19th-century politician. Known as one of the richest men in Romania during his time, he chose to build this magnificent edifice that offers a stunning panoramic view of the Bucegi Mountains. The Castle, built in the Neo-Romanian architectural style, is nestled within pathways and alleys leading to fountains, waterfalls, and petite caves.
