Nothing Better - The wholesome story of people and a story that surpasses the ages. I’ve seen this play at least 10-12 times going back to its beginning in the 1960’s. It’s not changed a bit and still is just as captivating as the first time

Truly enjoyed the dinner and show! - We thoroughly enjoyed this awesome outdoor drama! Definitely glad we tucked it into our vacation - well worth the time! We had never heard the story before so this was all new to us. Thank you to all the actors and actresses and behind the scenes helpers for their great work! Also to the servers at the dinner bash!

Great Band - The BBQ Bash prior to the show was well worth adding on to the show. The food was good, but served lukewarm. We really enjoyed the music. The only negative was the music should have started earlier. It seamed that the was too large of a gap from when the food was served, to when the music started.

Good experience - The food was average but the band that played during the dinner was very good - patriotic and gospel. The drama afterwards was good - could have been shortened and still had a good message. I enjoyed it because it was patriotic and religious.

BBQ not Worth the Money/Know the Plot before you go - We went early and explore the grounds. The grounds were nice. There was a massive play area including mini golf with the price of the ticket. I think the grounds itself is definitely worth checking out. The food was ok, a bit small on the portion size. In my opinion, The BBQ bash was not worth the money. The portion sizes were small and the food was just ok. I would recommend just seeing the show and skipping the BBQ Bash. As for the Shepard of the Hills show, we did not know the story line and I wish we would have read up on the plot before seeing the show. There were times in which in was hard to understand the actors. It took us until intermission to fully understand what the show was about. But, that is our fault for not knowing the plot. However, I feel for the most part, it was worth seeing it. The show lasted longer than I anticipated, but it was a beautiful evening to be outside.

Disappointed - I have always loved the Shepherd of the Hills and have seen the show many times in 65 years. I wanted to share the experience with my grandson. We bought the VIP tickets and BBQ Bash. The BBQ Bash food was terrible. The BBQ Bash show was mediocre. The Shepherd of the Hills show audio was sometimes unintelligible, not sure if it was prerecorded or if the actors were not speaking clearly. Yes, I do speak hillbilly, but it was hard to understand what they were saying at times. It was disappointing. Could have been so much better like it was before. Great story and history of the Ozarks wasn't presented well.

Shepherds of the Hill Play in Branson - We were very disappointed in the play. It was difficult to follow the story. They jumped from one thing to another. Seemed to go back and forth and we couldn’t tell where they were in the story. It would not be my top show to see.

One unfriendly employee... - One unfriendly/rude employee influenced our whole experience at the meal. Our original tickets for the meal were in the middle of the second row. The lady at the ticket office was quite sure those seats would work. (I'm in a power wheelchair) When we entered the dining room, that lady was sure the original seats wouldn't work, so she moved our party of 5 to the back row. That was fine, but it did mean that we were the last to be served...again, no problem, but as soon as we were served, the workers began going through again collecting dirty dishes. We felt extremely rushed. After many people had exited, an older man came up to us, slapped his hand on the table a couple times and told us we needed to finish quickly and leave because they were getting ready for a second seating; no greeting, no apology, nothing. At that point, we left the remainder of the food on our plates and went outside. I'm partially paralyzed and need my husband's help in eating, so I know we're slower than most, but this was only 35-40 minutes after we were seated and even less than that from the time we got our food. The meal itself got mixed reviews from our group...the potato soup was very good, as was the coleslaw. But the BBQ meat was dry and quite tough. The baked beans & "cobbler" were somewhere in the middle. We went to the BBQ Bash & Outdoor Drama on a Tuesday night. Halfway through the performance, they were forced to cancel it because of a storm moving in...we used our raincheck to come back on Thursday night to watch the drama again. Every single worker both days was polite & friendly with the exception of the "bouncer" in the dining room. We would probably return for the drama, but the BBQ Bash was a disappointing experience that we wouldn't repeat.

Unhappycsmpers - Sales people and staff are misleading at best and several of them, including the ticket sales person were just plain untruthful about handicap access They lied about where they would unload people, including handicapped (to the actual setting area with minimal walking. One of the helpers where the trams unloaded said multiple people repeated what I was told by the ticket agent. There was a great deal of walking involved. I am requesting refund for the three tickets.
