Highlights
  • Veterans Memorial Museum - You’ll be captivated and deeply moved by this tribute to our nation’s veterans. The extensive collection of displays prompts deep reflection and sparks a profound interest in the individual stories of those who donned these uniforms, operated these weapons, endured captivity as POWs, penned these letters home, were decorated with these medals, played this battlefield organ, piloted the aircraft, rode the motorcycles, and served our country with distinction.

The Veterans Memorial Museum consists of ten expansive halls that chronicle the conflicts and wars of the 20th Century. The journey begins in the World War I Hall and continues through the eras of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and beyond.

Each hall is home to powerful and evocative exhibits. Sculptures, murals, historical relics, artistic pieces, and a vast collection of genuine memorabilia pay tribute to all military branches, major combat zones, campaigns, homefront industrial efforts, and more.

The names of those who fell in battle during WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and other conflicts of the 20th Century are etched into the walls of the halls.

Numerous displays have been assembled with the assistance of veterans and their relatives, incorporating these servicemen and women’s personal narratives. From the dense forests of Vietnam to the arid expanses of the Persian Gulf, from the recollections of highly decorated warriors to the individuals who supported the war effort domestically, every facet of our nation’s heroic struggle for liberty is commemorated.

The museum is intended to function as both a center for education and a lasting artistic tribute, with the aim of enlightening future generations for centuries to come about the worldwide battles that overcame tyranny.

Remember our veterans - My husband and I know the importance of remembering our veterans. Seeing a number of women and men that served makes it personal. I learned a few things as well. Keep their memory alive and go,

Nice museum - My husband and older son love to go to all of the Veteran's museums we come across. This one had nice displays and the staff were nice. They have a nice gift shop where my husband found a very nice case for his father's funeral flag.

Great Museum - It was an excellent museum. I spent a good amount of time there. It takes in a broad history of the military, from the early years to present. I like the WW1 era exhibits as you don’t see much of that.

Pay a visit - Very nice Museum. Lot of uniforms. But the most interesting thing about the uniforms is the story of the people that wore them. Staff was very nice and helpful. Worth the visit.

Great museum! - This is a very well laid out museum. The bronze statue out front is something you can look at for an hour with the detail it has and the actual named people in the statue. Lots of info on the walls and displays that will leave you wishing this was a larger facility. Do not let that deter you from going! It is a very nice place to visit, the staff was amazing also.

Humbling and memorable - Even though the story being told here is a tragic one, it is truly humbling to see what the men and women of America fighting to keep our freedoms. If you think that freedom is free, this is an eye opener that it isn't. I loved every minute of walking through every display in there. I have a lot of family that have served in the military. I am grateful to each and every person who makes that sacrifice. It's a big one to make. The painting of D-Day was memorizing. My grandfather was in pearl harbor on his ship when it was hit. I can't even imagine what he saw. I plan to bring my kids up to see everything. It is amazing.

Lots of Information, good museum - Very good veterans museum with a lot of information, uniforms and photographs. Would not really recommend it for children, I believe that it would be hard to keep their attention, more for the adults. Lots of great information.

Branson Veterans Memorial Museum - Although we had passed by the Branson Veterans Memorial Museum before, this was our first visit. We enjoyed viewing all of the memorabilia, the various displays, the movie clips, and gift store. There is a Veteran’s discount but the admission is still a bit pricey for what is offered. I am glad we visited and was extremely moved, especially in the wall of names for the WW2 troops who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. It is worth going to. We also liked the airplane, helicopter, and troops statue in front of the parking lot.

Disappointed veteran - An nice tribute to name all that gave life for country in WW2 and Viet nam, ( and other conflicts) but fell short on that era displays. More of uniforms and personal stories than items. More on Japan and enemy items, less and non existent Viet era and recent veterans. Thought I could show family what we had back then, but was absent of items and displays to show.
