Highlights
  • Branson Dinosaur Museum - Take your vacation back in time and see over 45-life-sized dinosaur replicas. You’ll learn about dinosaurs on a self-guided tour in a friendly environment. This museum brings dinosaurs up-close-and-personal…from the small, four-winged microrapter; a dinosaur that measured only one-foot-tall, and was the most abundant of non-bird dinosaurs…to everyone’s favorite, the enormous tyrannosaurus rex, fondly referred to as T Rex; a beast with a massive skull, balanced by a long, heavy tail. These carefully constructed creatures are exquisitely detailed. That detail is courtesy of talented paleo-artists who used actual dinosaur bones to mold these incredible bodies. Spend as much time as you wish with your prehistoric friends; tours of the Branson Dinosaur Museum are self-guided! Each dinosaur is displayed with descriptive details to help answer your questions about their habits, the definition of their name, and more; it’s the perfect opportunity to learn how different dinosaurs are in many ways from today’s animals, yet how remarkably similar they are also.

Discover plant-eating dinosaurs – herbivores, and meat-eating animals – carnivores; this is just a small ‘taste’ of what your family can learn at the Branson Dinosaur Museum! There are also dinosaur documentary films that you can watch in the small, intimate movie room.

Great for Kids and Dino Enthusiasts - Such a fun, educational and well maintained museum. My son had a blast and saw so many of his favorite dinosaurs. The staff was incredibly friendly, too. Definitely a spot for the dinosaur lover to enjoy!

Awesome museum for lovers of Dinosaurs (who doesn't love dinosaurs?)! - This was a great museum. The museum staff was very informative. There is a scavenger hunt and questions sheet. We had a great time as a family finding the answers.

Fun! - This museum is great for dinosaur lovers. the exhibits are huge and they have a ton of great educational material along with them. We were offered a scavenger hunt as well to add to the fun. it was not overly crowded which was also nice. the manager is who was working there when we went and she was extremely pleasant. we had a lot of fun. the gift shop was a little expensive but otherwise, a great attraction.

Small but mighty... like some dinosaurs were! - Had to get out of the house with my three kids, ages six and four, for a while, and this was the perfect place to keep them entertained! The dinosaurs were cool to see, there was lots of great information to learn, and I liked the trivia sheet/scavenger hunt (my six-year-old loved trying to find the golden fossils with me) that they provided. My only complaint is that it was so small, we went through it in less than half an hour, but fortunately you can go through as many times as you want so after prying the kids away from the gift shop area, we went through a second time. The kids really dug everything in the gift shop and wanted it all, and thankfully the staff member working there had mercy on this poor mama and helped rein them in a little! The staff member was all around very friendly and helpful, and we also really liked meeting the furry and four-legged staff as well! This museum won't take up your whole day but it's definitely one worth visiting if you have any dinosaur fans in your family.

fun experience - We were in Branson for a few days and did this one morning. The museum is kind of hidden off the strip and was not busy at all when we arrived. We found the employee to be friendly and very helpful. The self guided walk through with worksheet to do along the way was a great idea. We found ourselves having to go back and try to find the missing answers. The kids enjoyed it. The atmosphere is comfortable, the dinosaurs and details are very good. I would very much suggest this to someone looking to entertain kids who love dinosaurs.

Mosey past giant plastic dinos in this bland tourist trap. - This tourist trap consists of a handful of full-size fiberglass dinosaurs. It’s not terribly engrossing, nor is it interactive at all - all the dinosaurs are gated off and it’s clear that touching isn’t allowed. There’s a small activity where visitors are supposed to look for small golden fossils hidden throughout the self-guided tour, but this doesn’t really have much to do with the concept of dinosaurs - it could just as well have been a museum of robotics with golden bolts hidden throughout. I couldn’t help but feel like the whole place was just a few golf clubs away from being a really cool mini-golf course, but in its current state this place is just a sad walk through some admittedly almost cool dinosaur models, but there’s kind of nothing to DO here.

Laughable - Came as a part of a package deal so took the kids to it. Got in, the lady immediately started barking rules and selling her scavenger hunt. We explained our kids needed to use the washroom. We were the only people in the entire museum. This ruined her day for some reason. My wife took the kids to the washroom. I told her she could just explain the scavenger hunt to me (no biggie). She proclaimed, “I absolutely will NOT explain the scavenger hunt and rules until everyone is present.” I laughed at her and walked away and browsed the gift shop. Everyone came out. The kids are 2 & 4 so they could care less about what she is saying. There were 2 dinosaur heads low hanging in the gift shop. They caught the kids attention, she had just explained not to touch any dinosaurs. The kids started to raise their hands towards the dinosaurs I start scalding them and trying to explain how we’re not going to do that she cuts me off and starts screaming at them. I calmly said, “lady, I have it under control.” We proceed into the museum which was EXTREMELY underwhelming. Yes, they have big fake dinosaurs but they are very very very fake looking. But, here’s the kicker, remember how it was a very big deal not to touch the dinosaurs. Well, I’m not exaggerating, there are literally 200-300 live feral cats running around the museum climbing all over the dinosaurs. Hahaha. Anyway, we go through it in about 5 minutes and the lady angrily asks, “you’re already done? Did you even do the scavenger hunt?” I said no, we just wanted to enjoy the dinosaurs. We didn’t need any extra distractions. Mad, she said, “well, your kids are going to want something from the gift shop and you just missed out on 10% off. That would have been your prize.” My kids didn’t want anything and we just started walking towards the exit, so I said, “have a nice day! Thanks for coming to my museum!” Since she said nothing. This is a zero out of 5 stars attraction. The dinosaurs are very unimpressive, there are hundreds of live stray cats running around and lady at the front counter is one of the rudest humans I’ve ever came across in life and I work with the public on a daily basis.
