Interesting and charming - Excellent visit. There is a small museum under the shop where you can find out the essentials of chestnuts uses. The visit is guided and the staff is very helpful. You can watch also a video about the chestnuts, from field recollection to your mouth. It's also possible to taste some sweets and liquors included with the admission ticket. All of them made of chestnuts. Definitely the visit worth it.

A beautiful, tasty and educational place - A great place to try a few delicacies made from chestnuts, including Pastel de Castanha - which tastes even better than pastel de nata. A vast array of products made of chestnuts as well as a small but interesting "museum" in the cellar floor. All the furniture is made of chestnut wood, which gives the place a special aora. Not to be missed.
